You read us right... need closure...of NASDAQ funding...but we know when that will be... approximately :bounce:
Oh? So when "approximately"? NASDAQ is littered with registered S1 IPO's that have failed to go to market. It's been over three months now, since the initial registration, without a peep from Elio on progress.

This has been well covered on a different thread...but the basics...a legal firm stated its a 16 week process on average...Tues will be 15 weeks. Drexel Hamilton has never failed with a NASDAQ raise... 16 for 16 I thinks. Process should/could take longer because of LA manufacturing penalties appeal and Atvm loan coordination possibly. Elio has repeatedly said it's 'in process'. Too lazy to look it all back up...if you give a f---, look it up yourself. Or maybe someone else wants to dig it back up. But you probably know all this already... and want confirmation...stop spacing out or you'll be paying alot more than $4 something shortly.

If this is an good faith question, maybe you'd like to provide all the links once you're back up to speed, since you've obviously spaced on all this since January.

Other business uses for Elio...Uber Eats, utility meter readers, pet sitters/dog walkers, real estate agents for singles/divorcées in green communities...

I think plain Uber, Uber Eats, or regular Taxi in rural america is a great application. I needed a taxi from a rural train station to my rural home. 15 miles. The cost was $89 dollars!:eek::mad::oops: The taxi company explained that they needed to get the cab from their closest town, 15 miles, and charge me for the 15 to the station to pick me up, 15 to my house, and 30 back to its home town as there was likely nobody to taxi on the way back. Yup, that's insane. Had there been a off season farm person with an Elio and an Uber app, I would have been all set. A conventional auto limits the profits so much nobody tries.

Oh look,,, it's Friday!
Veteran’s Day, Website, and More…
November 10, 2017

Happy Friday Elio’ers! Tomorrow, November 11th, is Veteran’s Day, one of the most important days of the year. Along with Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day allows every American to reflect and give thanks to the millions of men and women who have served and sacrificed in the United States’ armed forces. Words simply fail to express the gratitude we feel for their service, and we should all attempt to be thankful and mindful of their service year-round and not just twice a year. To all our veterans, a sincere thank you from us.

We think that the Elio is a unique vehicle and that this uniqueness makes the Elio incredibly versatile. With our high gas mileage, a front-to-back configuration, and futuristic design, the Elio can be used for a variety of different purposes. In last week’s blog, we highlighted just a few different applications for the Elio, including newspaper delivery, pizza delivery, and storm chasers. As we are often wont to do, we asked our creative supporters if they had any ideas on how to use the Elio. True to form, our supporters came through in a big way with some other smart uses for the Elio!

Here are some of our favorites:

“I think with new modern electronic equipment that is so small, that TV news people or radio people could cover live events with an Elio for transportation. Their equipment would be small enough now to fit into the back of an Elio and the savings would be really great as now they use vans” – Larry

“I plan on using my Elio driving to and photographing comparable properties as a Real Estate Appraiser. One of the problems most, if not all, appraisers have is taking photographs of comparable properties safely. With two close by roll down windows, one on each side of the vehicle, it will no longer be necessary to turn around the car for photos when the house is on the wrong side of the street.” – Jeffrey

“The Elio is perfect for security officer patrol of parking lots, shopping centers, hospital grounds, college campuses, corporate headquarters, power plants, industrial plants, gated communities, campsites, resorts, and museums. The cost of the Elio would be extremely attractive to these companies, as well as the gas mileage. Also, the size is perfect for a one-person patrol.” – Kevin

“I plan to use my Elio for catering and deliveries for my downtown Salad restaurant in Denver” – Bob

“You seem to be pushing the utilitarian uses for an Elio, commuting, delivery vehicle, etc.. How about the fun factor of carving mountain roads and day trips on twisty roads?? Some of us are retired and don’t need a commuter car.” – Jon

“Fishing and Hunting. I fish and hunt solo. No buddy riding along.” – Tom

Thanks to everyone who sent in their ideas- great stuff!

Before we leave you for the Veteran’s Day weekend, we wanted to direct you to our website. If you only open our emails and don’t occasionally peruse the homepage, you won’t notice a new look to the website. Our goal is to constantly improve the look and functionality of our website, so go check out the changes to the homepage!

Thanks for your support and Happy Veteran’s Day!

Yep, they mentioned turkey.
Yes, It Can Be Fun…
November 17, 2017

Happy Friday Elio’ers!

Let’s start this week’s blog with a quick quiz:

Do you happen to be a football fan?

Are you partial to a veritable feast that features a wide variety of delectable offerings?

How about sitting around a table with friends and family?

Are you a savvy spender, always on the prowl for a great deal?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we bet you are looking forward to next week! When you get right down to it, the Thanksgiving holiday offers something to love for everyone. Thanksgiving weekend is just around the corner, and that fact alone can make us all pretty thankful!

If you’ve been a regular reader of our blogs, you know that the impetus for many of them have come from insightful and creative questions or suggestions submitted by Elio Motors fans. For example, a recent blog topic came from a great conversation with a reservation holder about the Elio’s seats. Today’s topic, however, comes from a recent conversation between two Elio Motors employees. One employee mentioned in conversation their dread of having to visit a dealership to purchase their girlfriend a new vehicle. The second employee could commiserate and at that moment they both realized why the Elio Motors purchasing model is so important.

At Elio Motors, we want to make the process of buying a vehicle enjoyable. We know what you’re thinking, and we can’t blame you. Despite your reluctance, it is possible.

Here’s how we’re going to actually make buying a new vehicle fun:

First, we want the process to be equally enjoyable for both introverts and extroverts. So, when you step into an Elio Motors dealer, you will have the option of either interacting with a fully functional kiosk or a knowledgeable and engaging Elio representative (or a combo if you would like). In short, Elio dealers will remind you more of a comfortable tech store than a historically confrontational car lot. Shoot, you may be able to order the Elio from the comfort of your own home if things go the way we believe they will!

Whether you want to interact with a kiosk or team member, you will not need to worry about trying to haggle, negotiate, or arm wrestle for the best possible price. Why? The answer is not because it would be pretty simple to arm wrestle a kiosk; it’s that we have decided to offer the same price to everyone. Instead of offering discounts or trying to “beat” the customer, we think it makes much more sense to have a set price, nationwide. We will be able to accomplish this by having Elio owned dealers to ensure that everyone is on the same page. This way everyone gets the best price and you won’t have to find an “uncle” that works for Elio to get the best price. All discounts i.e. family, supplier, military, fleet etc. are all rolled into one price for everyone.

As a company of automotive enthusiasts, we truly think that buying your new Elio should be a fun process. So, for this reason, you’ll be able to initiate the process however you choose and the price of the vehicle and our options will be the same for everyone. We even think the coffee you find at dealers should improve, but we’re taking it one step at a time.

Thanks for your support and have a tremendous short work week!

I'm getting to the point I hesitate to click on the Friday Blogs because for the past several months they have been desperately lacking in content. This disturbs me because I feel like there's nothing to talk about - or at least nothing that can be shared. OK, if so, say so. I'm getting tired of all the "happy talk" content and no real news about the product. This is one of those times when it's better to say something substantive rather than endlessly chirp about far-off dreams of online purchases and kiosks at your local Elio boutique. It won't matter unless there is actually a product to sell.

Rather than "feature" filler, how about some hard news? What's being done on the engineering/manufacturing front to push the Elio another step to production? From the sound of the happy talk on these blogs, we're down to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and calling it progress - or at least a design initiative. If I'm sounding negative here, it's because I spent over half my working life in a product development role - the other half as a working journalist. Maybe that predisposes me toward skepticism, especially when it seems that all progress on the product has come to a halt.

Primitive fish, like the cartilaginous examples of the eel and the shark, have to move forward, passing water over their gills, to survive . . . otherwise they go belly-up. Similarly, when a new product ceases to advance, either in technology or toward a production goal, it is doomed. The market slowly suffocates in the absence of progress after years of build-up, and all the goodwill and excitement produced in the first eight years of development of a revolutionary product is wasted as silence closes in.

IPO's are not fun. There's a great deal of work getting to market with the support of a handful of investors. Going public is worse. Been there, literally got the T-Shirt ("First Day on the NYSE!!") whoopee. Two years later our stock fell from $52 to $0.42 (this after doubling and splitting twice a year on the OTC market for a couple of years) when the oil industry took a Brody in '83. The hard part is like spinning plates - you've got to keep the public (buyers) engaged on one hand, all the while building on the financials to keep the plates spinning and make that leap to production.

Perhaps abductive reasoning would be helpful here. The duck test:

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Does it look like anything is happening on the engineering/manufacturing front? Does it look like a company that can poof launch onto NASDAQ?
