Will the flying car beat the Elio
Flying cars have been around for 50 years, so technically, yes.
Now move on.

So why doesn't any person own them?
Because they combine 2 items that shouldn't be combined.
Each flying car flies poorly, AND drives poorly. And any accident would total the expensive and overly complex machine.

I always wondered why I saw so many flying cars 50 years ago but today see so few. Thanks for the explanation, now I can finally move on....

I'm unable to own this one due to affordability. :)

I have been watching the development of this flying car; the Switchblade. Perhaps like a flying Elio?

I can't tell you how many experimental "aircraft" that I have certificated where I had to sign a disclosure statement because, "This is going to be the first successful "flying/roadable vehicle" to hit the market!". Once I signed them off for Phase I flight testing, I have never heard of a single one.
Over 50 years ago there WAS a "flying car" that actually got certification. IIRC, only about 6 were actually built.
Bob Cummings, the actor, owned one of them, and there is one in the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, WI.

I like the Pal-V... but not the $600,000 cost.

$573,000 to $580,000 can buy a lot of car rentals at your away-from-home destinations.
Looks like the PAL-V and this are both single seaters.
This thing is so small...

Watching out for power lines and trees, many people should be able to land it in their back yard.

$27,000 for a brand new enclosed single seat helicopter (not a kit, a completed unit) is nuts.
