Fiberglass?

That's what I was told the body panels would be made of, a "fiberglass composite", incorporating fiberglass and plastic. Very rigid and impact resistant. To tap on the body panels, it feels very solid and thick. Doesn't sound hollow or thin at all. A very good choice for body material.

My favorite thing about the SMC panels, living in the "rust belt", is it won't!:cool:

Here's an actual fiberglass question related to Elio. If the body panels will be fiberglass, how easy or difficult will they be to remove? Or replace from an aftermarket vendor?

I always assumed the old body panel would be cut off and the glue points would be ground smooth. Then the new panel would be glued at the same glue points.

Other ideas?
