I tried that "link" and could never find anything about the G force. 3:46 is the end of the broadcast?
6033 might be right, IIRR........from simulators
Actually their mpg numbers right now are probably "simulator" read.

BIG NEWS! In the midst of this pretty naive interview, at 3:46 seconds in, Paul drops some new information: the Elio will hold 0.84 lateral G without busting loose! It's no Porsche, but the techies here will let us know just how good that is.

And one wonders when they did the road test to get that number -- or can it be simulated? Anyhow, that's the first handling performance number we've seen, so it's NEWS.

When they realized they needed stability control.

Wow,
I just popped on here to see if something was new and found this thread. Ekh, thanks for the great pictures and informatiion.
I too am a photographer (retired) and have a D800e, its crop-ability is great and at times very useful. Again thanks for the upbeat thread, great photos and informative mater.

You're too kind. About the D800e, it is the least forgiving camera I've ever owned -- the slightest bit of motion blur shows up as graininess, sort of like noise, but it's not. I'm old and shaky.... but have you noticed that problem?

For some perspective, Road and Track had very high remarks in 1982 for the Trihawk, which was a front wheel drive three-wheeler with similar specs to the Elio (1300cc engine, engine located ahead of the drive axles, 0-60 in 9.7 secs, top speed of 97 mph). R&T measured the Trihawk's performance on the skidpad as 0.83g, which it noted at the time was bested only by the BMW M1, Porsche 930 Turbo, Ferrari Boxer, and Lamborghini Countach.

I know skidpad numbers have climbed since then because of improvements in tires, suspensions, etc., but it does give some perspective to the numbers. R&T's very positive review of the Trihawk can be found here: http://yellowtrihawk.com/Trihawk304_RT_05-1982.pdf. There's also an interesting article on dynamic stability of three-wheeled vehicles here: http://www.rqriley.com/3-wheel.htm
