Well it has been OVER 6 MONTHS.... and they haven't done it YET. Instead we have seen a 'worthless' COLOR CONTEST.... that 'wasted' a MONTH of BLOG reports, but no more information on the controversial Dash Design. Time is 'running out', IF they are to begin production of the "E" Series (including the production dash). Their 'replies' on FaceBook in this matter have shown a 'disregard' for consumer input..... and a poor PR approach; "How do you know that will not happen at some point? ...

Elio Motors Hello Maureen, the Elgin inspired dash is planned to be standard, and if a vehicle that gets 84mpg on the highway and costs $6,800 isn't for you, than that's okay!"

Maybe they will give us a real dash as an option.the reply is their response to a facebook question from my wife and I certainly agree with the arrogant tone of their response being a poor PR approach .... she followed up by asking the following question : "Will there be an option for the P4 that is on tour? I understand options add to cost." .... this time the tone of their response seemed much more appropriate : "We may have some choices/options for the instrument panel, but our options aren't finalized at this point, so stay tuned closer to the start of production (on track to begin Q3, 2015) for what the options will be!" .... it now seems clear that the Elgin will be the OEM dash but there is hope that other options may exist

Based on the current progress reporting, status of the engine, and no word on E Series Builds..........I'm prepared for another delay, but 2015 is still possible. Elio did say yesterday that the engine is the priority and that it will take months to tool-up the factory for production......no word on E Builds. I think Elio cares what future owners think, listens to our concerns and ideas........but has to base their final decisions and specifications on what works from an engineering, design, and cost standpoint.
