The Elgin dash opposition is NOT going away.....

Recently things have been changing such as fixed price and steel body panels.
And things will continue to change.
I do not believe it is definite the dash will contain elgin gauges.

I believe the elio could still have traditional gauges.

I don't share that belief. Tributes are a hard thing to shake. Tributes to DAD are might near impossible.

Had an idea and wondered if it would work.
Open up the Elgin, remove the "steel boobs", remove the "disks" with the mph\tach increments, use that to measure mph/rpm for a new backplate, insert backplate, add new needles, and have traditional gagues ( that run backwards, cause that's the direction the Elgin goes.) Everything else would still work, and would be fairly cheap. And would still be unique. Just have to get used to reading it right to left.

Tributes, especially to loved ones, are very good and admirable.
But the tribute needs to be something that will not irritate people.

The tribute has nothing to do with you or me.
The tribute has to do with Paul Elio's deepest emotions and feelings toward his father.
When you start dealing with someone else's deepest emotions and feelings, all of the opinions in the world can't hold a candle to those feelings nor can those opinions alter those feelings.
