Designed for 65mph efficiency actualy.
Welcome to Elio Owners! Join today, registration is easy!
You can register using your Google, Facebook, or Twitter account, just click here.I'm thinking a new thread is in order!I agree with JC on his statement. If you drive most vehicles today in that MAX speed range the mpg will be a little better than what the EPA results are.
Of course the terrain will have a big effect on that mpg.
Also it should be noted that with the new vehicles with a CVT type transmission, the mfg. try to keep the rpm's in the 2300-2500 rpm. range.(My opinion)
The hardest part is getting the general public to drive at that speed.
The earlier ads for the Elio said "85mpg" now the ads have been changed to say "Up to 85mpg".

At least that's better than 55mphDesigned for 65mph efficiency actualy.
How many motorcycles ARE OBD II compliant? From what I've read, there will be no access to streaming data, as in speed, tach, etc.Common (cents) sense tells you that it will be OBD compliant. How many vehicles mfg. now are not compliant?
Because the FEDS are involved, it will more than likely be required and regulated.
Willie
Sounds like a good plan. What do you estimate the cost of enabling OBD-II data streaming? Is this something you can do or would you have someone else do it?
Well, I guess this design is also null and void. I liked the airy openness of this design and its inherent simplicity.
