Yes, they could get in pretty big trouble, it's possibly considered a criminal act by homeland securty, an attack on ecconomic activity etc etc. I would not want to be one of those people if the FBI should get involved. They probably didn't do all the sluthy techniques required to not get traced.As they should be.
