I don't understand. This MF post was posted on the Elio Friday blog right? How did it affect more people than those who are already reading the Elio posts? $109,900 from 27 people since this morning. With an average of $4,070.37 each! Where are these people coming from? Oh Ekh, I don't want to think you might be correct.

wow, it's been such a run today, (now144%Reserved$36,129,179) I have to push up the Monday estimate to beyond 146%. After all that Motley Fool article will continue to be read thru Monday. It combined with the P5 images are probably the drivers to this renewed interest.

It's so funny too, the MF article is very cautionary on business start-ups. And it doesn't address EM directly, if at all. But MF having a very professional and measured stance to the subject, plus having been slightly warm to EM for the long run, is lending a serious mind set towards Elio. Well, obviously that's just my uniformed take in it.
The MF article addresses all startups. The funny part is that we don't think it applies directly to EM. Go venture capitalists!

The MF article (and MF has several different meanings) was posted as a very deliberate attempt by Elio Motors to de-fang complaints and law suits should investments in the company go sour. It does two things: 1. Covers their butts 2. Actually provides useful advice for people who are not experienced investors and who underestimate the level of risk investing in a start-up. I suspect EM figures it's better to lose some investors now than have them come back later to haunt EM if things don't work out. I also suspect EM actually has a conscience and doesn't WANT baby investors (aka, suckers) to invest in Elio Motors.

Having it done by a third party with very high credibility was a very, very smart move. It's not Elio saying 'be cautious," it's Motley Fool, and looks like a useful public service that Elio would publish it (and it IS a useful public service, if anybody actually pays attention to it.)
