EKH, My guess is every time one of those youtube stars post their video of themselves driving the bright orange elio, his regular viewers check the elio out. Plus elio have put out some publicity - announcements, knocking off some fence sitters. Start Engine is doing their tricks with their PR people at '47'. Plus the lobbyist are flapping their lips to their buddies in DC and they're checking it out, I passed out four business cards this morning. The tour team is active. It is happening. We're watching something great happen !!

It took it nearly two days to get $250,000 and a 138%. It has really slowed down the last four - five days.. So, you might be right on the target, 150% by October first.

historically, haven't we found that the numbers go up slower on weekends/holidays ?

I'm just surprised because with the stock market down 10%, so many people still seem to have play money to invest in something as risky as Elio. God bless 'em, every one.

Spend the night checking out all the new youtube postings on elio. Some are very good, a lot of them are piss poor, but if you compare the numbers of reservations with the release dates it all becomes interesting.

Just for the record, June 12 was the day Elio made the P5 announcement. Or the day they first showed us the P5 CADs.

FYI that was on a Friday afternoon.
I've seen projects announced on a Friday, but I can't recall one that was started on a Friday, or for that matter one where the physical work commenced immediately after the announcement.

Once again, we are all trying to read too much into exact dates.

Can we agree, following this Elio FaceBook post, that Nov. 20-29, 2015 is an exact target date for the P5 unveil to the public? If they miss the SHOULD be completed by OCTOBER date, they have 3 additional weeks of cushion time before the actual November unveil to the public.

I doubt it's play money for many, more likely savings, but bless'em for gambling.

Rickb, Strangely, Thanksgiving day 2015 is November 26.
I think we both said Thanksgiving and stipulated that date would give them some cushion.
As we say out here in the country........... Even a blind pig gets an acorn once in a while!
