$22,858,099

5,980 "investors

$4,181 average for the whole campaign. There have only been 50 new participants since 4:54 yesterday afternoon.

Those 50 have "pledged" only $100,850 in the last 21 hours. This is beyond slowing to a trickle. It's slowing to a faucet drip.

Average since I last reported: $2,017 per "investor."

Any speculation on what's killed the program? Elio needs another positive news piece in the financial press.

the good news is, the number of investors matches well with the average amount shown .... that leads me to believe there is a good probability they are valid .... more good news would certainly help but even if they don't get to 100% by the end of the month (I tend to believe that they will) the number of folks who have stated that if the terms are as anticipated plan to increase their pledge will kick in more money .... I've very upbeat, if they can get the government in gear so that they can collect the funds, I believe we will see immediate progress

My hope is that this plus the P5 will get the DOE off their asses.

I share that hope .... having spent 30+ years working in state government, outside of a call from some person in power , I have no clue what it it will take to get the DOE in gear ....

I wish we could arrange to drive the P5 onto the Capitol steps ... with a simple sign saying 84 mpg needs DOE support. Then hand out flyers with the facts about the ATVM loan app to all who stop by ...
It's just a dream. Like having the Pres see if HE can fit into one. (and pray he does!)

"only $100,850" only $100K is not really something to sneeze at; that is still a fair chunk of change in a day.
You're right of course ... but these last couple of days have seen a real decline in the frequency of "pledges" and in their average amount ... now being measured in hundreds, not thousands of dollars ... it's a long way to go to 25 million. In fact, at $100K / day, it's another 30 days or so.

My personal guess, utterly unproveable, is that the shenanigans last week scared off the higher-end legitimate investors, and really did hurt the campaign as a whole. Those shenanigans, shall we call them, were widely publicized, along with a number of "this casts doubt on Elio's odds for success" articles. Not good PR, and if you're on the fence, might discourage you from investing at all.

I wish there were some action Elio could take to bolster the SE program, but I'm afraid there isn't. Just have to wait it out. But momentum begets momentum, and stagnation begets paralysis. On the plus side, we're $150K from 92% of goal, and that ain't bad ... especially with many or most of the phonies out of the equation.

Hi, People, Did ya miss me?
I went to bed last night after my 10:25 PM log of $22,811,799.
I logged in at 6:17 this morning with $ 22,836,799.
I took the day off and had a great date with my favorite fella. Ran in the house and check at
7:12 PM, it was 92% with $22,891,999.
But at 8:36 nearly 41,000 disappeared and we're back down to 91%.
Superman, Prankster, Shenanigan is back to his tricks again. Yeah, I'm ticked off. But, I still had a great day. Caught up on the postings on this thread. I really don't want to increase my pledge at this time. I will do it with real money when the time comes. Thanks Buddies for holding down the fort. I'm going to bed soon. I'm really wiped out. First hot day in weeks and this old lady was running around at a Amish Family Field Day Event. Really was to much.
