Thanks for posting Rickb. It's still a long wait until year end but it's much better than waiting for funding!
So there we go, first 50 from China already here in Vancouver ready for distribution to their excited new owners whoever they are! Can't wait to hear their feedback.

Electric Vehicle Maker Electra Meccanica Keeps Plugging Away At Plans For A U.S. Introduction
Electra Meccanica Vehicles Corp., a Vancouver-based designer and manufacturer of a three-wheeled, one-person electric vehicle called the Solo, reports it completed a $12 million offering of its common shares this week, to continue funding its efforts to start mass-producing the Solo at a plant in China.
“We received the first 50 from China. They have been shipped to our facility in Vancouver for calibration, and then for delivery to our first customers,” said CEO Jerry Kroll, in a phone interview March 29.
Incorporated in 2015, Electra Meccanica is listed on NASDAQ under the symbol SOLO. It expects net proceeds from the offering, which was completed March 27, of $11 million, the company said. It is also working to develop a two-seat, four-wheeled roadster, to be called the Tofino.
The tiny Electra Meccanica Solo, a three-wheeled electric vehicle, gets a lot of attention on the street.

The (really) small, car-like body of the Solo has an enclosed passenger compartment. But for regulatory purposes, the three-wheeler is categorized as a motorcycle, Kroll said. Therefore, the vehicle doesn’t have to meet a long list of federal motor vehicle safety standards for cars and trucks, such as supplemental restraints including air bags.
There are a number of small companies trying to kick-start three-wheeled electric vehicles as a product niche in North America.

At least it's for two types of vehicles and it's refundable plus you can apply an Elio reservation to the Solo. Seems like the Solo is trickling out at at snails pace but that's better than none at all.
I don't know about trickling out because the current SOLOs out there are the hand made ones. The Chinese assembled SOLOs 2.0 basing on my communications with EMV will start trickling in this August. The first ever 2.0 batch are currently on display at their stores in LA and their home base. Now I'm not entirely sure if these AUG. batch will be sold at the promised 11.5K US or will it be a more upgraded version that carries a higher price tag (kinda like what TESLA did with model 3 or Arcimoto) to make a bit more money. EMV is not saying so that's a concern for me. So close......
Your concerns are unwarranted! If you look at the SOLO specs it’s fully loaded, standard equipment, no options. You are good to go!
