I’m getting to old and tired to wait much longer than June 2019. I may pull trigger on the Evergreen Edition and have some Summer fun driving the twisty scenic mountain roads of Idaho.
I agree, fun waits for no one so like you said, buy what you like, like what you bought and drive away without a care in the world! ;) I liked all the features of the Evergreen Edition, heated seats, bluetooth, removable doors, roof, lockable storage, etc. and my favorite- dual electric motors! I think with all the features, it's priced right and depending on how much you get back on tax credit, it's better than waiting for the base FUV.

Then pull the trigger. You already planned on stiffing the funeral director.
My personal issue is I’m torn between making a charitable contribution or a larger contribution to Arcimoto by pulling the trigger on the higher priced optioned Evergreen FUV. Decisions, decisions.

Note: I have been stiffed on a couple of occasions early in life. Let’s be very clear, I haven’t stiffed anybody over the past 72 years and don’t plan to in my remaining years. Everyone that requires payment will be paid in full by selling off my Arcimoto investments ($FUV and potential high mileage FUV). Technically, there will be no funeral and need for a funeral director.

I think if you're planning on buying the base FUV and then adding the enclosed shell + a few more options, then you'll be close to 20K am I right? Or....wait 'till you get a chance to test drive the SOLO! :whoo:

You are spot on! I’m definitely test driving the SOLO when the opportunity arises. My ‘assumptions’ (could be proven wrong!) regarding the SOLO, based on photos/video, is the SOLO is quite low for my old beat up body’s easy ingress/egress needs, requires some effort to get legs over the raised side battery rails, and the driver’s sitting position is similar to driving a Vette, with legs more outstretched according to a SOLO Owner Forum member describing his test drive experience. He gave his overall experience thumb’s way up and he is eagerly awaiting delivery! I’m certain it’s a blast to drive and frankly, I like the SOLO’s styling, specs., and $16K price point.

The physically fit test drivers effortlessly step in/out. I have to sit and swing legs in/out, requiring more effort. Obviously, getting old has a few disadvantages, but I’m happy to enjoy all the advantages. :)

Vehicle height, ingress/egress, and driver comfort I experienced during my FUV test drive was essentially the same as driving my current SUV. The FUV is like 1/2 an SUV. Same logic I used for cancelling my Tesla Model 3 Sedan reservation and wait on the Model Y SUV. Sorry, I rambled.

Totally understood Rickb. Our 80+ year old neighbor owns a 2006 Mazda Mx-5 with just 70K miles on it, stick shift which I like (not my wife) but that baby sits so low (no wonder he's selling it) and there's NO height adjustment to the seat! He's only asking of 6K but KBB says 4K in good condish. I'm thinking of talking to a car upholsterer and see if they could add 2-3 inches of padding on the seat and then completely reupholster it which I'm sure they could and then just maybe I'll consider buying it.

If well taken care of (especially if garaged) $6k is a fair price for a 70k mile 2006. Around here, for $4k you are looking at salvage titles, or beat up examples way over 100k miles.

Starting in 2008 (like mine) the driver's seat has height adjustment and can go up about an extra inch. And 2009+ have revised engine internals for the manual versions which includes forged internals and stiffer valve springs. Not necessarily something most people need but worth taking into account if you plan on taking her to the track or going turbo.

FWIW I lowered mine 2" with coilovers. She handles like a dream but my wife hates trying to get out of it :D
