The SOLO 2.0 will be the closest to owning a motorcycle. Looking at the prices for the ZERO motorcycles at 20K for the premium model with nothing but free air, 2 wheels and no protection at all except your own helmet and padding, I know I'll enjoy my heated or air conditioned SOLO 2.0 3wheeler with roof over my head!

My only experience is with the free air base model FUV and liked it. I will opt for full enclosure and climate control, but will enjoy free air riding on the nicest of days and full enclosure/climate control riding on the not so nice days.

The SOLO is more auto than cycle and the FUV is more cycle than auto.

email from Ampere motors this morning says they opened a factory in Irvine Ca. and are building cars there. There are some pics of the inside of the factory and about 4-5 unfinished cars inside, two completed ones outside. Email says not to share the pics though....

Awesome, glad to see they are making progress. Are they all being built by hand? Pictures of the unfinished models on the website and Facebook page look like the bodies (fiberglass?) are being done by hand, that does not scale especially for $10k.

Looks to be hand built, no assembly lines, just a giant shop. Pretty blurry pic, does't embiggen well.

Checked the website, the outdoor pic of the green and red one is the same, and the email has another of the same cars from a different angle, I dont see the inside factory pic on the website.
