S4 sees daylight!!!
I could paint it,,but it would take me much more time, so I'm going to have a body shop spray it for me. It needs a new windshield, and he can take care of that also. That will get me much closer to driving it!!!!!!!

Very cool!! How's it drive? I imagine it's gotten lighter on it's feet, so to speak.
Have you added up what you've spent on it so far? ( I know painful, but well worth it )

Oh ooooo I see the bottom of the back door (EEEKKKKK!)

Well I haven't actually driven it yet.
I have backed it in and out of the shop.
Everything feels good, and yes!! I am getting anxious to drive this thing!!!
As for as "the bottom of the door"
I like the aerodynamic blades.
They tie the bed to the cab, style wise.

Well as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. (aka- if you like it, that's all that matters)

Any idea of what color it's going to be? (no black!!)

Well , I made some leather hinges that duplicate what was on it originally. Since there didnt appear to be any finish on it, I lightly sanded it and hit it with some walnut oil to see the grain. Still dont know what kind of wood it was, but there are hundreds of 1/8" shallow holes in it from some insect, probably when it was on the tree. I replaced the original handmade brads in the leather and tapped in many of the larger nails that were protruding a bit. I am not expert in antique restorations, but its looking pretty good to me. It's YELLER!!!
Yes I know the back half doesn't match the front half.
The purpose of this paint is to seal the body so I can drive it. Some people just drive it in primer, but I don't like the idea of that.
I plan to work a little, drive a little. Then when I'm ready, I'll scuff it and paint the hole car.
