Perhaps 50%-70% of the early adopter "money in the pot a year in advance crowd" want to tow, but I know the bulk of the general commuting population they want to sell hundreds upon thousands of these cars to has almost no interest in towing with an elio. If they did our dealership would be offering to put hitches on fiestas, fusion hybrids, and focuses.

The difference being a Fiesta will hold two people AND a picnic basket.

Our customers don't buy fiesta's for family cars they buy them for commuters, most of our customers have either SUVs, crossovers, or crew cab pickups as the traditional "family car". The elio coming into production will likely kill our sales of fiesta's and the like but I'm ok with that, I think they are too expensive for what they are anyway.

If they REALLY want some feedback they only need review the posts on this forum! Yes they would have to build their BS filter, but there is plenty of candy available.

Considering that the people who were able to participate in the discussion were chosen because they are active online it is a safe bet that Elio Motors is reading at least some of what is being written on this forum.

It would certainly be gratifying to receive at least a small token of acknowledgement. Perhaps we might see some of the ideas presented here come to fruition as accessories in the future.

It wouldn't take much for one of the EM team to become a member and occasionally check in. The return in customer relations would far out weight the effort expended.

If Elio wasn't interested in what their potential customers would like to see in a future Elio beyond the BIG 4 which was a given from day one..........Chip Stempeck, Elio's chief marketing director, wouldn't have asked for input 5 or 6 years ago when they were testing the waters with the HELLO ELIO! Website to see if the Elio concept would be accepted by the general driving public. Also, sharing info during the road to production was a big plus for the fan club and it's 14,000 reservation holding members. Customer relations is what I like most about the company.........no comparison to Apple or Samsung. It should follow thru with excellent customer service after our excellent sales experience.

Yep Apple has yet to go to the public and ask them to public and ask them to pay for a product that's only on paper.

Now that's what I'm talkin about..........an Elio Factory Tow Package..........not just a little receiver hitch option.........but a full blown TOW PACKAGE! That might require a dually rear wheel.

You can stop right there. There will be NO packages through Elio. Paul Elio has said right up front that all options will be sold individually. Packages of any kind are ways for auto dealerships to get money by forcing you to buy the item you want in a package. With Elio, everything you buy is individually priced and everyone pays the same price. All of this is spelled out on their website. I for one, am very grateful they are going to do business this way. It means that even a woman can get a fair deal with an Elio and in the auto industry in general, that is impossible. Z

Lol. Only if they Hate that Elio team member. That would be like throwing them to the wolves to be torn apart physically and Mentally. IF they were observing this site they would be best advised to Stay Hidden! Imagine if Apple or Samsung went door to door asking everyone what they wanted in the next phone! That would be productive! We would still be talking into cans on a string. LOL. My Opinion. As long as they maintain coarse on the ONLY 4 promises they made us they have Nothing further to discuss with you or anyone. The fact that they are even sharing Their production plan is amazing to me. Another personal opinion, if they were relieved of the 10,000 redundant and meaningless questions and demands daily I would bet this project would be Much further along if not done! If I had Any question about the Elio plan or management I would Not have committed my non-refundable bet on their success. Cheering from the side lines is not always fun but I feel it will get them across the finish line faster than throwing stones at them. Run Elio, Run!!!!!

I'd offer to race you to the finish but you have the lowest number here and I don't have mine yet. I don't have a chance to catch up but that is OK. It simply means you knew about it sooner than I did - a whole year sooner - and acted immediately. I acted as soon as I financially could and look forward to the day I can do my first upgrade to $500 and then my second to $1K and get my number. It will happen. LOL I love my Elio!! :-) Z
