You can get a few different "faces" and pointers

The hardest thing you're working on is the size; these gauges are 3 3/8" in diameter and that's all you have room for. The entire opening for the gauge cluster is about 9" x 4"

Thank you; just the parts, including the GPS receiver for the speedo is going to run around $650 - $700

Now someone found gauges like it made by Dolphin (I've never heard of them before) that you can get everything except the GPS Speedo for less than $200 which for some reason doesn't sound exactly right. I put a call into that company today; got a recorded message; and I'm waiting for a call back.
Guess I'll wait and see.

Right; include a $400,000 helmet in a $6,800 vehicle; now there's a way to lose just a little money on each one.

They'll make it up in ad revenue by having a paid advertisement pop up in your dash before the car will start. And when you stop, the door won't unlock until the departure ad finishes.

Seems to be similar to how most internet companies work.

Plus, did you notice the prices on some of those? $2,600 for just the cluster? In a $6,800 vehicle?

I had seen those; but with what it would take to make them work in the Elio is pretty involved.

Nice, I like the solar charging and wireless nature, but not the price tag and having yet another app on my phone for just one thing. I will opt for a $50 backup camera with dedicated small screen and spend 30 minutes on the install, including tapping into the reverse lights. Scotchlok self stripping connectors make tapping into low power wiring a breeze. I wish I had found them years ago.
