Blended into the body it shouldn't be too bad. One option might be to get one of those "universal" hood scoops (the kind that are just for looks) and mount it backwards. Then place an LED light bar in the scoop vent.

Great idea; but I would scale it down, or go to the Chevy dealer or the junk yard and get the 3rd brake light and housing for a Chevy Astro Van.

Tachyon emitters are going in mine, so when in forward motion anything behind me is in the past. Unless I put the Elio in reverse, then anything behind me is in the future.

That could work!

How about a matter phase shifter that would allow you to pass though heavy traffic without actually making contact with them....Okay..Then there's the falling through the road thing.:frusty: Need to look into building some Heisenberg compensators first.

Wait a minute....What was this thread about? :twitch:

I think the problem is that the thread's original path was exploring what you like and dislike about the current design of the Elio, and it has transmogrified into stuff we want to see in the 2.0 release of the Elio.

Personally, I'm thinking of the Smart ForTwo, where the second iteration (currently unavailable in the US) is the Smart ForFour, a four-person edition. In the case of the Elio, the body would be elongated to allow for a larger storage area. This of course would lower the car's expected MPG rating, but would silence those who say stuff like, "How can I put in a larger suitcase?" or "Hypothetically speaking, is there any way I could stuff a body in there? Just asking."
