Feels very disheartening when your spraying someone's baby, your stomach kind of turns inside out, and then ties it's self in knots.
It's like no other feeling you've ever had, and makes you really mad at your self, till you figure out the fix.

Yeah, been there, done that, ain't a joyful experience, and don't ever plan on doing that again.

I've done the mistakes, and the sign of a pro is how well he deals with things like that.

Yep. Nothing quite says "GREEN! Eco-Warrior" like towing an electric tricycle behind your 8.5mpg motor home.
Plus it's even better when you stop somewhere that has no hookups. You can run the generator to recharge it. What they could do is fill the roof with solar panels and then use that to recharge it in a few days.

When the Nissan Leaf came out, they used it for a Pace Car in the SCCA World Challenge. I went to the event in Detroit and what I seen was this. Since it needed to be recharged, they hooked it up to a big industrial generator that was hidden behind a trailer. Best part was when they unhooked it, they just let the generator run and it was not hooked up to anything else.

I respect Green Eco-warrior’s views/choices, but why make assumptions that all people choosing to drive EV’s are Green-Eco-Warriors? Some yes, but more choose EVs for the performance and handling factors (my reason for owning/driving an EV), not environmental logic. Also, the Arcimoto FUV’s Fun Utility factors simply adds to the performance and handling factors. Yep. Motor homing with their Arcimoto FUV appears to be the ideal tow vehicle option to explore the area from their road trip destination over night or long term snow birding stays.

It would be ideal as long as you can charge it. I would use a Can-Am. It uses gasoline (which is easy to get) can be recharged with gasoline in a few minutes (it's range is about 150 miles). Holds two people and can tow a trailer. It's shorter, narrower, weighs half and starts at $8500. I seen that the FUV goes 100 miles but it seems that if you want to explore, that 100 miles seems to get cut down a pretty good amount. Since most RV'ing is out in the boonies, places to recharge are at a minimum.

FUV is a great option but not ideal. The Can-Am is not ideal either but it does allow you to not have to be worrying about those overnight trips being too far away or having to arrange to make sure you can charge. Probably explains why I rarely ever see a Tesla, electric Smart car or Leaf when I go RV'ing. Typically it's Jeeps. I'd say about 50% Jeeps and the rest are some small SUV.

The FUV appears to be ‘their’ ideal tow option. Tow what you like, like what you tow. The photo may simply be of an Arcimoto employee delivering an FUV to a long awaiting, anxious to get behind the handlebars customer and his wife. :)

My short term experience driving an EV has been positive. My driving experience is more enjoyable than driving any other car I’ve owned over my 73 years. Owners simply have to advance plan for charging stops along the way during long road trips and stay at Hotels or Campsites that have chargers for EV driving guests. Some people hate EVs and wouldn’t even consider a test dive. Others like them, but EVs currently don’t meet their needs. Nice to have driving options.
