Responding from the other thread. That's good it now happened. So, for all of the current FUV owners (how many are there?) they have this service. Does it cost them (the FUV owners) on a per month basis or is it just included with every FUV?

The first 100 FUV’s were offered to limited regional reservationists so they could be serviced by Arcimoto. Also, Arcimoto has provided training workshops for their out of area Rental Fleet Sales Customers. The Road America partnership will allow for sales expansion to other regions across the country to coordinate with production scale plans. Arcimoto plans to factory train and FUV certify Road America’s network of service provider members to offer roadside assist and warranty service coverage and provide needed service beyond the FUV’s 3 year warranty period.

If you have serious interest in the FUV, I suggest you check out Arcimoto’s Facebook Page and ‘Elio Amazed’s Arcimoto FUV Club Facebook Page for answers to your questions. Arcimoto staff actively contributes and frequently joins in the FUV Club discussion. You can also contact Arcimoto directly and get a response to questions, usually within 24 hours.

So they have made 100 FUV's so far. That's 24 weeks and if we exclude weekends and a few holidays, that's 1.15 FUV's per day. That means they will make 276 in a year that would consist of 48 weeks (because of vacation and no plant is 100% efficient). Does FUV have any idea when they will throttle this up because they have 5K reservations and need to get them filled. This seems to be something that's more of a team of 10 building them by hand.

Arcimoto started retail production and delivered their first vehicles on 9.19.19. They started production at 1 unit per day, currently assembling 3 or 4 units per day, with plans to scale production numbers during 2020. Lots of groundwork required during their ramp to max production numbers. Also, groundwork for their parts and materials suppliers. Arcimoto has a business plan and are actually completing production schedule and delivery milestone events on their time schedule. Apparently, it’s not easy bringing a new vehicle platform to production. Fun to watch Team Arcimoto’s actual progress.

Another happy customer taking delivery of their FUV (“Buzz”) yesterday afternoon:

Wait...so you're telling me that Elio's plan to go from 0 to 250k/yr might have hit some snags along the way? Surely you jest!

Snarky-ness aside, I am continually amazed at the responses on this site towards other startups that have seemingly surpassed Elio roadblocks. Where was this skepticism when Elio milestones were missed over the years?

From your join date, you may not be aware of how Elio-skepticism was treated in the early days of this forum. Posters who did not toe the company line were warned (usually), banned (regularly), and had their posts erased (often). Lots of others became disillusioned, made a farewell post, and faded away.

You probably don't remember RogerW. He was an early Elio Super Fan. When he realized that things were not as portrayed, he went on a one-man crusade to try to save Elio by pointing out everything they were doing wrong. He got banned on this site under 4-5 or more different id's. He was banned from Elio's fb page as well. I felt for Roger. He loved the Elio concept, but felt personally betrayed by the company and by Paul Elio. There were lots of others, but Roger had to set the high- (or low-) watermark for fanaticism.

Nah, our mild criticism/skepticism of arcimoto, sondors, and electrameccanica pales in comparison to RogerW's scathing screeds.

I have great respect for RogerW. He posts on the Arcimoto FUV Club Forum periodically. His posts indicate high regards for Team Arcimoto and their product line. I ass.u.me he is a reservation holder, but may only have interest in the FUV.

I agree with johnsnownw. I don’t understand the criticism/skepticism of any startup company or their product that is successfully delivering retail production vehicles, in the process of executing plans for production scale, rolling out the servicing network required to support that production scale and expansion of regional sales areas, and developing additional prototype vehicles adding to the future model line up. Good for them and good for those interested in their products.

I was skeptical of Arcimoto for nearly a decade. I had to see it, drive it, tour the working AMP and watch people fabricating FUV parts and assembling FUVs, and meeting some of those long time, hard working, dedicated to the cause Arcimoto employees before I believed they would cross the retail production starting line. Their continued and long term success is to be determined.

You may not like the FUV and it may not meet your personal needs, but should appreciate their progress to date compared to the many failed three wheeler startups.

This one's easy. People gave them more leeway time and been patient the longest when EM started missing milestone because they still believe that the 65k+ reservations can bring the ELIO to fruition. Arcimoto, Electra Meccanica and Sondor's reservation numbers pales in comparison hence skepticisms and doubts abounds. You're also forgetting ELIO's popularity due to it's ICE compared to their 3 EV counterpart with range issues- big difference. And here's the funny part, when things go bad, posters tend to vent their frustration in here, using profanities and arguing with fellow posters instead of directing their issues to EM as what Coss suggested so many times or berating other poster's opinion thinking they're better than the rest of us but nothing to back their opinion but their ego! JMHO.

3wheelin, I haven’t been to EMV’s plant, but have toured the AMP. :) I’m the only Elio Owners Forum member that has interest enough in the FUV to take a test drive and tour the AMP that I needed to verify the FUV’s fit and Arcimoto’s production status before plunking down a non-refundable order for one of the first 100 FUVs. I would have been compelled to do the same by test driving the Elio and touring the Elio Motors plant.
