I admit, I don't know much about USA plants (if they are any anymore), but would be surprised if in 13 days and 17 hours there isn't nearly every piece equipment still available to buy. Also got a feeling that's why they didn't sell it their self. No market.

that makes 2 of us that really have no clue .... all I know is EM paid to have the equipment appraised .... it was published a little while ago that 10% of it had been sold at 90% of the asking price .... don't know if that's as good as it sounds or not .... it has been stated that they are counting heavily on selling the equipment .... the question seems to be how long will it take

I share the same opinion for the same reasons. I made my first all in reservation in Oct 2013 and like Rickb have been a long term Elio supporter.
Yes we have! Heck, we are still supporters! I had no problem with the previous delays. I just didn't like the reason for the last one. I'm over it. I vow not to mention delay or trust again and will just sit back and watch for the flood gate of cash to open on the track to 2016 with a Hoorah! when it finally happens.

If I was rich, one of the robots would be a nice center piece in the main hallway. Imagine bringing a new date home and the robot is there loading and unloading stuff. (as an exhibit).

Maybe more stuff goes on here then I think it does. When I visited San Diego, I did find a plant close to the airport (Solar Turbines) that actual make power generators and even ship some of them overseas.
But in the area I live in, I only know of one plant in a 60 miles radius. And the only reason its here is they make paper and need our trees for pulp wood.

But did you ever say you already had something you didn't? That actually is the definition of a lie.
Yes. And actually had it... but then there is something unexpected occurs. I have had money with plans and then a car issue happened or house appliance broke. Then the money wasn't available for use.

I do not know what occurred to have Paul change his tune. I am aware of what was said also. I don't believe it was to cheat us Elio autocycle fans. Maybe the engine development cost more or the $25,000 per month for the Shreveport facility on top of the development. Or maybe the extension cost. Or was there another cost that wasn't disclosed or new equipment that was needed and not anticipated. I don't know. All we can see is there was a delay.

It reminds me of the story of one of the most successful cleaning products of its time...Formula 409. It was chemists four hundred and ninth attempt. This implies that there where 408 attempts that were unsuccessful.
What if their financial backers or BOD had said, "400 attempts should be enough to get it right. That's all you get."
I must say tho, If EM ever announces, "the P408 is not quite right, we just need one more try...." I'm out. :p

That's how WD-40 got it's name too..."WD" stands for water displacing, and the "40" was the number of tries it took to get the formula correct...

It's hard to say what Paul Elio can and can't say in public depending on what deals he's bound to from investors, directors, management team, etc. He may very well have been sincere that he did not need the ATVM loan for the 2015 production, because of how everything unfolded, it's hard for me not to speculate something was happening behind the scenes; a deadline for this or that which was missed, resulting in key funding at that time being pulled, forcing him to eat crow and push production back. I think Elio is on track for 2016 production with funding for that production being the next piece of the puzzle it has to find and fit into what is clearly a complex jigsaw puzzle of building a vehicle manufacturing company and vehicle from the ground up. Personally I liked the idea of having some risk in this endeavor when I went "all in" and I still like the risk element because there's a nice payoff Elio comes through and I have a new vehicle next year. If not, like any other risk taking in life, one moves on. I'm far from that as long as there's incremental advancement at EM.
If "It's hard to say what Paul Elio can and can't say in public depending on what deals he's bound to from investors, directors, management team, etc. _- then he should never have said anything!

That's easy to say from out here however we all should know that the reality is that not saying anything is also not a realistic option for someone in Paul Elio's position. The fact of the matter is that as part of his role at EM he must speak to the media and the public. Paul Elio, and other Elio personnel as well, are simply in the no-win situation of having to answer questions as truthfully as they can, while working within limitations imposed on them, all without also appearing to be evasive with their answers as this would create a whole other set of problems.

The operative word being "truthfully".
