With the exception of EMV's SOLO, none of these startups have revealed their source of REAL funding to enter MASS production let alone prove they can actually keep their advertised price.
None have?

As far as I was able to tell from the SEC filings, Elio Motors has accounted for every incoming penny over the years.
Arcimoto has been completely transparent all through it's existence. We have a history of Arcimoto posted on the dark side.
As a matter of fact, I think they're all required to disclose their general sources of funding in SEC filings when they go public.
They may not reveal a detailed list of names to the cent, but they do list those funds as having come from private investors.

I understand that you may feel that your deposit threshold has been reached or exceeded...
But I just don't see how you feel that a small and totally refundable deposit is "falling" for something.

No-one's trying to talk you into anything. I just asked because I was curious to know why you seemed so negative toward this vehicle

I don’t think it’s negativity, but more likely the Ampere doesn’t check as many wants and needs boxes as the SONDORs side by side seating platform, at least for me. One can always test drive the finalized version and make the reservation at that time if totally impressed by the ride.

Lol. You totally misinterpreted my post ElioAmazed. I didn't say I don't like it, I'm just curious as to how are they going to fund this project because that's first and foremost the secret ingredient to production. Getting "some" money to "start" the project is one thing, finding the "rest" of the money to "finish" what they've started is another. ELIO sure did raised the money they needed to work on their prototype, a few was made but they're short half a billion to actually make it happen- I fell in love with the ELIO, made a none-refundable deposit and it's been years of waiting- so since there's no guarantee the Ampere can do better than ELIO I'm being careful this time around.

I'll look around and be on watch for any SEC filings they may have made or will make and let you know.

I don't need a 3 wheel car. I don't need a 84 mpg car. I have a couple of cars that meet my needs. I want a 3 wheel electric car that will be fun to drive and has a cool factor, that doesn't cost a fortune and so far no one has one sitting in a showroom waiting to be purchased. My only hope is to make a reservation and hope they get to me before I die. The Elio was my first reservation. I now have a total of 5 and still I wait. The Ampere looks very cool. The 100 mile range is for the base model and they will have a 150 mile as an option. They also will have an optional Targa top, witch will require a windshield and I was told they will also have an A/C option. I get quick answers from Tony when I have a question and he seems to really appreciate my deposit. I don't know if the Ampere will ever get to my driveway or if any of the others will get there but I'm # 29 and hoping that it will. I think mostly all of us here want the same thing, a 3 wheeler to enjoy and if you don't like the Ampere or the Solo or any of the others fine just stick with the one you like and stop with the I hate stuff.

Sounds pretty magical. All good if they can do it. I need to be impressed by someone. :D

I don’t see any hate stuff, but rather opinions. After the Elio Motors experience one should be interested in a variety of viewpoints regarding this company, their business model, and the vehicle itself. It allows you to listen, perhaps learn, and make informed rational decisions. If you attempt to quiet others, you limit the discussion to what you want to hear.

With that said, since the Ampere or SONDORs don’t meet my needs and wants there is no personal reason to post on the Ampere or SONDORs Threads........or SOLOWs. I like them all, the more the merrier, and it’s best to have personal interest in a variety of three wheelers that meet your needs in order to have one in your driveway ASAP. Be careful out there. Don’t just let them tell you what they plan to do, make them do it before you start throwing money at them.
