Just checked, Lichter wanted 200 million from Range Rover to get Elio to move out.

If this is really true (I have no reason to doubt it), Samalross has 'found the key' that unlocks this whole hot mess!! It's not about the vehicle!! Just like cafe credits, oil price mitigation, creative financing, tee shirts, head phones, inane blogs, it comes down to something else: real estate and other business dealings! I always thought maybe this was more about Stu than Paul. Paul is running with the big dogs, I hope he knows how to pee in the tall grass without getting any on him.

Aha! We all know Lichter is not stupid, he's a businessman and a good businessman knows when to cut their losses and move on. That's really interesting, if Range Rover agree on the deal what will be Lechter's next move for EM???

Forget that fact that EM motor is seating on a potential 455mil from the 65K plus reservations....it's all unrealized potential profit when we take to account the 376mil they now need to get to production.
Not $455 profit on 65k vehicles.. Factor in a $1000 projected profit per unit sold at full price. Now factor in the loss of revenue due to the $7k "lock ins".
And finally figure in the (up to) $1k bonuses EM has already given all-ins. They'll be lucky if they'll be "sitting on" $65M in "profit"...
Even factoring in upgrades and options. Now balance that against a $516M deficit @ the start of production.

Just wanted to clarify that one last time 3w.

That's ancient history. That happened a couple of years ago. Road Ranger is long gone. That's part of the reason everybody in LA is so pissed.

....now walk and get some air! :D
I mowed the grass with my self propelled John Deer aluminum deck that I bought used for $35 seven years ago.
After I bought it, I added a couple of new drive wheels for it @ $15 total. I just had to put another $30 into it yesterday.
Like they say, it runs like a deer. The motor will probably run another 10+ years and the deck will never rust.

As I mowed, I reflected on how fortunate I am to have what I already have.

And on what a beautiful day it is.

If Stu had been allowed to be the brains of the operation from the beginning, I have no doubt that I could've washed and waxed my Elio two days ago.
The face of EM knows exactly what the brains of EM is doing:

Yap I agree! EM was way over their heads BEFORE they even realize it! I'm even giving them credit for getting all the big names in the business to come on board and somehow embrace the project w/ such a low projected price.
