I think that's why Paul mentioned that alternate power options would be in future models (when they no longer have to stick close to $6,800)I like Diesel ...But a suitable Diesel option would defeat the key reason I am interested in this vehicle . For $6800 , I am thrilled with 84 MPG , 100 MPH , power windows , AC etc . Add a few thousand more for a Diesel , Automatic transmission and a few various accoutrements and the Elio is less appealing .
