Meanwhile at the dumpster fire of a season that is my Ravens ... :(

Flacco tears his ACL, done for season well into mini-camp next spring at least.
Forsett breaks his arm.

this is a season i'd be happy to forget.

Palmer looked like he was pressing to start (two cringeworthy INTs) but settled in nicely during the second half. Bengals really made a game of it in the fourth quarter, but that was a pretty impressive final drive for the Cards. Both teams deserve at least their 8-2 records right now. Maybe they'll meet again in February.
Nitvtrue unless the Bengal players stop collecting mouth based penalties! Every game taunting and other stupidity E's kill them. But I guess it is better than bailing the out of jail, which was SOP for about 5 years

Sunday's games:

Oak 13, Det 18 - The Raiduh's offense only made an appearance in the 3rd qtr, and it was ALMOST enough to win. Oak led 13-9 entering the 4th qtr, but the Lions scratched out 9 pts and the win. Stafford did better-than-usual for Det, 282 yds / 0 TD / 0 INT / 4 sacks. Carr was worse than usual for Oak, 169 yds / 0 TD / 0 INT / 1 sack. Lions ran the ball well, including Stafford with 31 yds and a rushing TD, Oak could not run the ball for some reason. Det was a little better on 3rd down and outgained Oak by 160 yds in offense. Penalties were even. Oak is 4-6, Det is 3-7.

GB 30, Min 13 - The Vikings had a chance to take firm control of the NFC North with a division game at home, but came up short. Rodgers seems a little "off" still, but made enough plays and some of them were Rodgers-like in their amazing-ness. Only 212 yds but 2 TD / 0 INT / 2 sacks. Adrian Peterson gets shut down yet again, 13 carries for 45 yds. Bridgewater got banged up by the Packers defense, 6 sacks, but he did run for 43 yds. He looked to be in pain as he sat on the bench towards the end of the game. It was 19-13 GB to start the 4th, but they pulled away with 11 pts in the 4th qtr. Eddie Lacy had a good game, ran for 100 yds. James Jones had 6 catches for 109 yds and 1 TD, all wearing a hoodie under his pads, lol. GB takes over the lead of the NFC North, both teams are 7-3 but GB holds the tie-breaker at this point. They'll play again.

KC 33, SD 3 - The Chiefs wax the Chargers, as SD had the wheels come off in offense, defense, special teams. Both teams had 3 sacks, similar penalty numbers, and were similar on 3rd down. But KC held SD to 201 yds of total offense. SD lost in turnovers 2-0. Alex Smith has a streak after the game of 253 passes without an INT, if he keeps doing that KC has a chance to win every game. He threw for 253 yds and ran for 33. KC is 5-5 and in the thick of the AFC playoff picture.

Ind 24, Atl 21 - Another visiting team wins, an amazing comeback win for the Colts with Hasselbeck at the helm. Atl was up 21-7 with 9:38 to go in the 3rd, and the Falcons would score no more. Hasselbeck threw 2 INTs, but Ryan threw 3. Hasselbeck threw 2 TDs, but Ryan threw 3. Atl ran the ball better than Indy, but Atl lost in turnovers 4-3. 3rd down efficiency and penalties were even. Atl is 6-4, Indy is 5-5.

NYJ 17, Hou 24 - Just like the Chiefs and Colts, the Texans were left for dead a few weeks ago, and back they come. Fitzpatrick for the Jets had a below-avg day for him, 216 yds / 1 TD / 2 INT / 3 sacks, but he did have one tough TD run where he took a big hit and lost his helmet. Texans used a trick play where a WR threw a TD pass. Yates for Hou had Rodgers-like numbers on this day: 229 yds / 2 TD / 0 INT / 1 sack. Texans ran the ball well, Jets did not. Both teams are 5-5.

TB 45, Phi 17 - Another road team wins: the Bucs go on the road and pulverize the Eagles. Winston threw for 5 TDS, Sanchez threw for 3 INTs and 2 TDs. Phi ran the ball well, but Tampa ran for 283 yds. Doug Martin, 27 carries, 235 yds. Bucs were better on 3rd down, won the turnovers 1-4, but had 4 more penalties. Tampa is now 5-5 and in the NFC wildcard picture, Phil is 4-6 which is of course 1 game back of the NFC East-leading Giants.

Den 17, Chi 15 - Whatever happened to home-field advantage in the NFL? Den squeaks by the Bears, as Chi scored a TD at the end of the game and needed a 2-pt conversion. They ran the ball, and it's no good, Broncos win. Osweiler did pretty well in his first (that I know of) NFL start: 20 of 27, 250 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT. He was sacked 5 times. Cutler didn't do well, 265 yds / 0 TD / 1 INT / 2 sacks. Den more than doubled the running yds of the Bears. Den was better on 3rd down, won in turnovers 0-2, but lost in penalties 8-0. I wonder if the stats have an error, I find it hard to believe an NFL team had zero penalties. Den is 8-2 and comfortably out in front in the AFC West.

Stl 13, Bal 16 - Rams were up 13-3 to start the 4th qtr, but the Ravens came back and got the win. I believe there was a turnover late by the Rams, the Ravens moved the ball just enough to get a FG try, and they win it as time expires. Flacco is done for the season, torn ACL at least. Rams had 4 fewer penalties and 2 fewer turnovers, but just couldn't get any points. Bal is 3-7. Rams are 4-6.

Dal 24, Mia 14 - A road team wins again... personally I'm tired of all the media attention given to the Cowboys, who with this win are now 3-7. Romo played well enough to win, but just barely. Dal ran the ball well, Mia not so much. Dal was good on 3rd down, Mia was horrible. Mia only had 210 total yds of offense. Dal lost in turnovers 2-1, penalties were even. Mia is 4-6.

Was 16, Car 44 - The Panthers wax the Redskins. It was 14-14 at end of first qtr, then Car took over. Cam Newton threw for 5 TDs, Car ran the ball well, and Was had 12 rush attempts for 14 yds. Nasty. Was lost in turnovers 5-0, Car was very good on 3rd down. Panthers stay undefeated, are 10-0. Skins are 4-6.

SF 13, Sea 29 - Gabbert did pretty well for the 49ers, but Wilson was better: 24 of 29, 260 yds / 3 TD / 0 INT / 2 sacks. Thomas Rawls ran the ball for the Seahawks for 209 yds and had 46 yds receiving too, 1 TD rush and 1 TD recv. On 3rd down, Sea was excellent, SF was bad. Sea had 3 more penalties but gets the win and moves to 5-5.

Cin 31, AZ 34 - In a game of two really good teams, the Cardinals come out on top. Palmer threw 4 TDs, Dalton threw 2. Palmer had 2 sacks, Dalton had 4. Both teams were ok running the ball, but this was a game of big plays. Cin led 14-7 at half, but it was all AZ in the 3rd qtr. It was mostly Cin in the 4th qtr as they kicked a FG with 1:03 left to tie it at 31. But AZ moved the ball and got a 32-yd FG with 2 secs left. Both teams are 8-2 and lead their divisions.

The Sunday night game was a nail biter for the whole 4th quarter; never thought I'd see AZ do what they did in the closing minute and a half.
Good game.
I don't think Monday Night's game is going to be anything close to it; NE against the Bills; NE almost a sure winner.

Thanks Jeff you never fail to impress me.

Well the first game is a bust; 2 minutes to go and the score shouldn't change Philly 14 Detroit 45
Philly couldn't do anything today 10 minutes into the 3rd quarter Philly had -9 yard total offence
Detroit could pretty much score at will; Megatron scored 3 TD's, Tate III had 2 (one he walked in; he was that clear)
A real yawner.

well, another good day for the Carolina Panthers .... I was somewhat surprised at how easily they handled the Cowboys .... the game wasn't as close as the 33 - 14 score final score

To add injury to insult, Romo re-broke his collar bone. I'm guessing the Cowboys' season is pretty much over.
Yah think? I believe Tony was pouting because the game was going so bad and he wanted an excuse to get out of there early (in other words, a fake injury) :becky:
