Trusting
Elio Addict
I'm sorry, but all this "he said" and "she said" is really getting us nowhere. I hate to say it but the fact is we can't bank on anything EM says. That's the way it's been and that's the way I expect it to continue!

Once the first line is running full capacity it would be the same process on the second line, within the first 90 days they would produce 19,000 vehicles. Use your SIL to estimate.I agree with your observation. I wonder how many early reservations could be built before the end of 2016.

I couldn't find the link but I found this on the other elio forum:I agree with your observation. I wonder how many early reservations could be built before the end of 2016.
That's not very trusting. I think he saids, she saids are hilarious.I'm sorry, but all this "he said" and "she said" is really getting us nowhere. I hate to say it but the fact is we can't bank on anything EM says. That's the way it's been and that's the way I expect it to continue!
What?
EM said they would design and build five prototypes... they did. EM said they would get a factory.... they did. EM said they would build their own engine.... they did. EM said they needed to raise money to build the 25 engineering vehicles.... they did. Etc, etc. So far, I think, EM has indeed followed through with what they said they would do, certainly not in the time frame hoped for but within the time frame of reality starting a new manufacturing business.

In reality I don't trust what anybody says.........I need to see results.......and EM has had a couple of positive moments lately. With that said I would like to see verification of the E build progress. I sense it hasn't actually started and they are busy finalizing the necessary design and engineering tweaks and or Rousch is taking it over now that EM has acquired the necessary funding to pay them.
That is entirely relative. Really.I should have explained. "Time" is the issue. It seems that whatever date they say something will be completed it never happens. According to EM the first production cars should have been produced a couple of years ago. There is always one more delay. Enough already.
That comes as a surprise to you? You must have been born under a cabbage leaf! All reasonable assumptions. But still, they said 2017...
There will be crash testing prior to production. They know that they MUST have this to sell the vehicle. I anticipate crash testing no later than August this year. What gets me is the wording saying they need to sell the 100 for the revenue. Maybe it was just odd wording, but the profit from selling just 100 is so small compared to the stock sale. I like the idea of have 100 beta units in the wild, just smells funny selling them.
Unless they are being sold for WAY over $7k.
I wonder if Roush insisted on 100 E-series instead of 25, needing the higher number of units to get the tuning down?
And no crash testing before production?
