My hearing at this point in my life does not require anything special. If I can her the sound I am happy.

Some of you are deep into this stuff. I'm just happy to have a soundtrack for my drive.

Took the plow truck in for some work the other day, no radio and less exhaust. That was a long 7 miles!

Need a new speaker or two before the snow flies.

I don't need no stinkin' sound system.....I just like to listen to the music of the exhaust

For motor sounds a v8 or a v twin bike sound great to me, a 3 cylinder eco commute motor? Uhh no thanks.
Yep a great sound system is a must For the commute.

if the sound system is clear enough to listen to a NASCAR race or ACC Basketball/Football game, I'm good

Two way stage up front, 8 or 10 in storge.
Use small class d amps....
Fit a Pioneer DEH-80PRS in the single din spot. Or what ever its called when the elio is sold.
Takes up very little space and sounds great. Acitve two way front stage plus sub. Time alinment. And auto eq.
Used this same idea in my last two cars.
Not at all about the bump. About sound quality.
A must have for me in a daily driver.

I was big into car audio a few years back...Phoenix Gold amps (the good American made ones), JL Audio speakers, Alpine HU with all the bells and whistles (time correction, EQs, crossovers, the whole 9 yards), but I had to let it go because it's too hard for me to crawl around inside car interiors to run wires and such anymore (I'm getting too old for that!) I just don't trust any installers to do the kind of quality install I used to do...I miss the thump and sound quality, but it is what it is...I will be happy if I can just play my CDs and maybe plug in a smart phone with tunes on it in the Elio...

I listen to talk radio too, but I gotta have my tunes as well...

A couple of good speakers in the dash and a well tuned sub under the seat should get it.
The road noise and acoustics will be fight the fine sound anyway.
