Not trying to bring you down, but I have been led to believe EPA tests are done using gas that does not have ethanol which improves MPG results.
Also, if your highway speed is about 70, as compared to 55 - 60 that is used as the test standard, it is possible you won't see 84 MPG
The alleged gas tank size change was supposed to have been changed to give more head room.
G1 might want to correct me.
sorry, should have put" lol", after my post, I'd be happy w/60mpg 1/2 what I got on my lambretta, about twice on some of my bikes. BTW when I first saw pics, thought it was about a 20-25k machine (looked like a mini-viper 2 me) so when I saw the price, deal done. the rest is just fluff-i.e. milage, economy. I figure for myself, without knowing the costs of the extras, I'll probably spend 12k otd

As far as I am aware I see no reason to correct anything you have written in this post. [emoji4]

we went all in for $100 back in December .... my hope is by the time they close the first year reservations enough folks will have $1,000/$500/$250/ longer standing $100 that at least 40K (50K would be better) folks will be ahead of us .... basically, I don't plan to buy but one and I'd like to make as sure as possible that any bugs in the design and/or manufacturing process have been worked out .... as to Pep Boys, lets just say my confidence level in them isn't very high
good plan, with your 100 all in, you in fact will be ahead of all the want-ins, even @ the 1k level, so you might not be that far back as you might think

actually, we've taken that into consideration ..... our hope is once folks can see that production is about to get underway and they announce a date for the close of the reservation period, a bunch of the Want In's will upgrade to All In's which will (hopefully) increase our reservation number

but you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men

WilliamH --- I seem to recall EM is planning their MPG testing using a more "real world" method than the standard EPA test. Level ground, solid state, no wind at 65 MPH with A/C on using commercial pump gasoline. I assume this would factor in 10% or so ethanol.

Wow! If they do that it will be a real precedent setter. I'm in favor of it.

I don't think the want-in folks can change over to all-in.
