ain't it the truth .... I well remember the days when a car reached 80,000 miles the motor was gone .... the body was usually still good but motor was used up .... now its hard to find a used car for sale with less than a 100,000 miles on it

I don;t know that it is fair of you folks to continue to have these conversations that those of us in Florida can't understand???

Many of our company cars and truck rack up 250-350 K on them ,and still run good when we turn them in. Friend of mine has a 2000 Ford Tarsus258,000 on it last week no major repairs. Son runs up a lot if miles in a short time has 160,000 on his ford focus still runs like a new car.
It has been almost 20 years sense we worried about cars starting in the cold. Last winter we had week long 20 below weather not one failed to start.
Did have to get Mother in law a new battery today hers was the factory one in her 2009. It failed this morning at 2 below. She said it had been getting weak. I reminded her she needs to tell me soon as she thinks there is a problem not wait until it fails.
