I agree completely. I have not seen anything here worse than can be seen on primetime television or on magazine covers at the grocery store checkout. Anyone more sensitive than that needs to deal with it in their own way (that doesn't impact others). Ignore, block, look away, whatever.

Auto manufacturers have been using models for years at shows. Female models. Get over it.

In the past couple of weeks we've had people post pictures of women with what I consider not indecent amounts of skin showing and yet being reported. I've been deleting what has been objected to so far but this is a car/motorcycle site and that kind of stuff typically goes along with this.

There has to be a limit, but I am personally of the opinion that what is being reported for deletion is fairly normal. I also acknowledge that the majority demographic of this site is of a different generation than my own with different standards of what is acceptable or not.

I agree with both statements above .... I was surprised that the video taken at the SEMA was reported, to me it seemed to be much to do about nothing .... I have control of the mouse used with my computer so I control what I read/see .... realizing some folks do, I'm not one who goes around looking for something to be offended about and don't feel I have the right to tell other folks what they can't see/read .... I'm about as old school and conservative as anyone and to date I haven't seen any pictures posted that bothered me .... if/when I do, I'll ignore them

now as to the use using offensive 4-letter words (like Ford), ;) we could have a whole different discussion ..

I have to agree with Zelio; if it offends you put that person on ignore.
I am so happy with this site; but having to be "politically correct" has ruined a lot of very enjoyable times, places and relaxation.
I have never run across anything I felt was in any way offensive here.
I love the Elio Owners site just the way it is, and the way it has been.
Please keep it that way and don't let the few change it for the many.
The Elio family represents a great cross-section of American society and we represent every value and vice. I have been very happy with this forum and the common sense discipline of the postings of its members. I see no need to impose censorship because someone may be offended. I have several people on "ignore" because I don't like their posts. I do not advocate we remove them because I disagree with them and nor do I recommend we remove posts because some member may be offended. We all need show some common sense, others need to develop thicker skins, and get over the notion that somehow we were offended by a comment not made directly to us. My wife claims I eat too fast and after 28 years of harping at me I still eat the same way. You are not going to be able to change people to meet your expectations so accept them as they are. We are independent personalities and should not encumbered by the "politically correct" who think everyone must adapt their ways. Freedom is speech is a hallmark of our society and I would hate to think the PC police would try to limit our speech on this forum.

I figure, Zelio, who is one of our more sane members, has it right -- if you're offended, block or look away. On the other hand, this really is a community, and individuals should be mindful that the community includes a fairly broad range of tastes and values ... so at least a little discretion is the responsibility of individual members.

If people take responsibility and are mindful that others may have other sensitivities than their own, we don't need to resort to whistling up the thought police every time we are personally a little uncomfortable. There's a scale here... and we all play a note somewhere along it.

The thing about skin, the sexual subject in general, it's very distracting from the conversation. And offending to some. I like a little distraction on many subjects, but not there. There is so terribly much of it on the web already, TV, movies etc etc, ya just want a little (or a lot) relief from it.
