That is VERY interesting. What are the caveats to this shipping method... there'd have to be zero fluids in all systems, correct? Any item that relies on gravity may need to be secured, such as seat belts? Just thinking out loud here. But securing the 3 wheels to the bottom of the car's space, and it might be good to go.
But as G1 stated, most likely the reality will be they'll use existing OTR trucks and railroad shipping methods to get the vehicle close to where the reservationist lives.
One interesting aspect that I've only recently seen mentioned: if you are driving to the plant to get yours, if you live north of the "snow" line, you may be at the mercy of the weather for that part of your trip. For me that would be 300 miles on the return trip. For those of you on the coast or in the South, weather shouldn't be an issue in Jan-Mar.
