There is no comparison of these 2 vehicles if they don't meet your individual needs. The Solo and Elio are not competing for the same market demographic. The vast majority of potential Future Elio Owner's have zero interest in EVs. It doesn't mean that you can't appreciate the other concepts about to hit the market. Buy what you like, like what you drive.

Keep in mind when referencing cost of the Solo's battery pak replacement the Elio may blow out an engine or 2 along the way, and or need a tranny repair or replacement along with routine oil changes, and possible radiator repairs. Nobody knows how reliable either of these vehicles are going to be. All I am sure of is the fun factor and affordability of both having no real preference. I will without a doubt be driving the first one that hits the production line. I've nothing negative to say about either the Elio, Solo, or SRK. Go three wheels!

The advantage of the Solo is no back seat driver until the Solo Twinn hits the production line. EM, ElectraM, and Arcimoto are marketing to the 83% of the population that commutes to work alone as a supplement to the family car Not a replacement.
I love the "no backseat driver" feature. Ensures peace and tranquility.

The Solo Store's OPEN for business light is on! The reveal Solo in the photo has and continues to be tested under track and everyday driving conditions. ElectraM has expanded by adding a new 3500 sf production facility and has started assembling Signature Series Solo's. Looks good for those of us that find the everyday single seater electric three wheeler commuter meets their needs and for others, hopefully a short wait for their preferred concept. The Solo is currently undergoing Canada's and the USA's validation process with dealerships and International Solo Stores opening soon.........according to Jerry Kroll, CEO. I wait for the same good news coming from EM and Arcimoto. Go Three Wheels!

What countries ban, they can easily unban upon facing reality. But that is itself questionable over whether they would face reality or not.

I think of the requirement that we change from the English measurement system to the Metric. I think it was mandated to have occurred about 30 years ago. Did that mandate work out?
Yeah the only things that stayed metric were fasteners, engine displacement and soda bottles. At least metric wrenches are still useful.

Welcome ffejdnalloh. There's been no official announcement or confirmation about the Solo being at SEMA as of yet.
Until there is, I can only only consider it to be an optimistic rumor.
I was wondering about that new member myself; comes on to the Elio Owners site, says absolutely nothing about the Elio, but does a single post about another 3-wheeler.
First think for me that came to mind is that ugly S word ................... Spammer

If he comes back (he left about 25 minutes ago); I would like to hear a little more from him.
Thanks to members like Elio Amazed and Rickb we enjoy hearing more about other vehicles that promote 3 wheels.
If he could have stuck around a little bit longer he might have been able to provide more information on the Solo than we already have.
