Check this engine out:

I wonder why it didn't take off... even in the motorcycle realm. I AM aware the last update on their website was in 2013.
Probably couldn't solve all the design problems. Their videos don't even show the thing actually running. Just a "cold spin" using compressed air. Some of those videos were uploaded to youtube in 2010. And by 2013 they didn't even have a functional prototype? And no news for the next three years? Sounds like vaporware.

Yeah, big oil probably made them an offer they couldn't refuse ;)

I've seen a LOT of concepts for "revolutionary" engines over the years. (especially 2 cycle)
Many work on paper but not in real life.
Some work in a lab but not in a vehicle.
Some actually work in real life but lack reliability and need to be overhauled frequently
Some are prohibitively expensive
Some have an unusable power curve
Most will never meet emissions standards
Most are vaporware

Although the "Big Oil" conspiracy is and easy target, and i have no love for big corporate, I have yet to see ANY proof of a revolutionary technology bought and hidden by them.

That's how well they cover their tracks, and how well they do about keeping it away from the media.
Wasn't there a new technology for batteries that GM bought from the inventor, and shortly there after, there wasn't a trace of it anywhere.

Hence the sarcastic smilies at the end of my post.

If that tech was real or any good, wouldn't GM bring it out for their Bolt or Volt or Jolt... whatever it is?
