Soon the discussion will be limited to 4 or 5 members that have all the answers in the remaining time to production, asking themselves where did all the fun and annoying blowhard members go?

Maybe you find badly misinformed but loudly proclaimed postings fun, but I find them blowhard material and can live without 'em.

What's even more annoying to me than the embellishments is the occasional combativeness with which they are attacked or defended. One would prefer civil discourse to dealing with blowhards. It's one thing to be in error because one mis-remembered something or had overlooked something, and quite another to fail to do one's homework in the first place -- and then defend the position that results.

A related problem, one that occurs all over the Web, is that posts go up but don't come down -- and are not prominently dated or time-stamped. Things change, the world revolves, and last September's plans have evolved into this year's realities. Yet people seem to persist in using out-of-date information as if it were Holy Writ, the law laid down in black and white. This problem is not unique to our forum. It is rampant, and very destructive. My wish would be that the original posting date of any blog entry or news story anywhere on the web be clearly identified by author, publisher, and date. I don't expect to get my wish.

But barring that, I do think members of this forum have an obligation to see if what they're fixated upon is still relevant or valid BEFORE sounding off. Posts on our forum do have posting dates. These should be looked at before opening mouth. Newer members especially should realize that there's a huge amount of information here, and much of it no longer applies (at least without modification) -- then take the trouble to check for updates, or even just to ask questions which older hands will gladly answer.
What's annoying to me is when someone say things like" would you want some 22 year old GEEK"....what are you trying to portray them??? Or get a "reality check" like you know more than what's out there? That's why I said my "opinion only" in my post. We are all adults here and we're here to express our "opinion" on everything about our ELIO, negative or positive and none of us knows what the "eventual reality" is in EM's future.

I apologize if my expectations were too high. Some of us were expecting the P5 to bring balance to The Force, and now it sounds like the P5 is going to be just another padawan with a low midichlorian count. It's hard not to be a bit disappointed.

this is a good example of what I was referring to earlier ..... none of us knows and yet we make such assumptions anyhow .... it may or may not and I tend to believe that the wise thing is to wait until we see it before jumping to conclusions

I don't and respectful posts are key to me. Loud is certainly unacceptable along with name calling, but thankfully haven't witnessed an over abundance of that and thought the forum was welcoming to all calm and respectful views within the Moderator's tolerance level.

I also hope the P5 is more then a shine/polish and have people set in it model. Was hoping for testing numbers and YouTube videos inside the car of the experience.

no doubt all of that will come in time and with the importance of positive exposure of the P5 to the ongoing development of EM, I suspect it will be a priority
