I would hinge the door on the front. The 1997 Mercedes-Benz F300 Life-Jet concept autocycle has a driver door on the left and a rear passenger door on the right.

...... Look where the fuel door is !!
Both BMW (CLEVER) and Mercedes Benz (Lifejet) had three wheel tilter concepts that proved to be unstabile and the engineers either couldn't or didn't take the time needed to make it work.
THAT's WEIRD . BMW GOT IT TO WORK GREAT IN THE SKATE BOARDS THEY USED TO SELL .
Both BMW (CLEVER) and Mercedes Benz (Lifejet) had three wheel tilter concepts that proved to be unstabile and the engineers either couldn't or didn't take the time needed to make it work. These were both amazing concepts that would have been a blast to drive because of the tilt factor. Toyota has engineered a stabile tilt on their three wheel i-Road EV concept that will likely make production, but its top speed is 40 mph and designed as a city autocycle.

Yes it looked promising but wasn't reliably safe and stabile under all driving conditions. In videos the Mercedes Benz LifeJet F 300 seems to tilt just fine. The Carver also had the tilt part worked out.
I think the question is more: do people want their vehicles to tilt? I like it, but then I also enjoy riding motorcycles. I am not so sure that the average buyer, that isn’t used to two wheels enjoys the tilt. It also adds a lot of cost and complexity. The Mercedes Benz system was, as one could expect, totally over engineered.

The Carver's DVC tilt control works and is being used in the new Carver 2. Totally different engineering regarding the titing mechanism.
Yep, loved the concept, but the Yamaha Majesty was one-third the cost. So, now I lean on two wheels positioned front-to-back.
