Just a little off topic, but a lot of people asked why 84 MPG was important.
Well, this might just be the answer.
If you do a conversion from US gallons to Imperial gallons you will find that it's 100 MPG Imperial.
Withe the number of countries that still use Imperial, that could be an interesting sales point.

I think that speaks to Elio Motors still not having much mainstream recognition. Though I think that's a good market to get some positive strokes from the local CBS affiliate.

has the tour spent much time on the west coast .... since I've been following EM it seems to me like most of their time has been spent in the eastern half of the country

This is interesting information.

How was bell labs when you left?

I worked there 1972 to 1976 and am always proud I was there.

I have fond memories.

Actually, only the United States, Burma and Liberia still officially use non metric systems. The rest of the world has switched.

See map of countries that don’t use the metric system below (of course in some countries, non-metric measurements are still used informally, but that usage goes down with each generation):

interesting map .... the data is outdated, example it doesn't show any visits to NC .... from what is shown, they do seem to hold events mostly in the eastern half .... Jerome told me in Charlotte this past December that they were in hope this year of getting to the states and cities where they hope to have stores that they haven't gotten to so far

I left on the VRIP in '99.
I was one of the first B band managers from the AT&T side.
My organization was being outsourced to IBM so I took the early out.
Used to go in at about 7AM and was usually there till 6 or 7 PM.
I still miss it.
