Strangest thing here is bottled water hoarding. I don't think that a water worker will cough into the water supply ruining the water supply.
Even if he does, I've got a Berkey in addition to an emergency filter pump and a filter "straw". Cough away. Buying bottled water is absurd. Buying a couple of blue 55 gallon barrels and a bottle of Clorox, not so much.

My Meijer is shutting down tonight to clean and restock. The night manager said they are getting in lots of toilet paper, sanitary wipes and meat. Feeling at work is that they are going to quarantine the whole state next week. As I only connect to ElioOwners at work, you might not hear from me for a while. I wish every one well.

The interesting thing is, the local non chain grocery store by us has everything. They have a big meat department and it's fully stocked, plus all the paper products you need. I go there and it's just like a regular day of grocery shopping. If I go to a chain, a whole different story.

Also, when a big snow storm shows up here, everyone goes into a french toast frenzy. That's because milk, eggs and bread all flies off the shelves. As we know that's what you need to make french toast. Typically people have cinnamon and syrup in the house, so maybe that's why those are always in stock.

In SD county you can no longer use your "personal" cup or bottle to fill up with coffee or soda at the gas stations. (Big gulps, refills, etc.)

Shouldn’t be able to do that regardless of the virus. Lots of other viruses I’d rather not be exposed to from personal cups.

I’ve seen this and I’ve seen it debunked by UK health authorities as unofficial/fake news.
But why take the chance when it's so easy to avoid it? Nice to see you wheaters. I had to make four trips across town to the gas station to get clear kerosene yesterday and I was in full gear: N-95, goggles and gloves. The 1-K pump doesn't have a card slot so you have to pay inside. Washed my glasses, keys, credit card and hands as soon as I was home. Then stripped, bathed and washed my hair. Then tanned for 15 minutes on each side with my tanning canopy. This thing is a killer and most of us here are in the sweet spot age-wise. And it's going to have a field day in the US. I was the only person out there in any kind of PPE. There is a ton of people in this area going about business as usual. Like it's some kind of joke.
