The design is purposeful, which takes some of the sting out of the ugly/unrefined nature of it. I wouldn't put the door on the right side when my target market is used to climbing in the driver's seat from the left. Would require moving the gear selector to the left side of the car, which would be odd.

Do you plan on shifting with your left hand then?

LEFT HAND SHIFTING WORKS GREAT FOR THE ISETTA BUT THIS IS MORE FOR
ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES THAN SOMETHING I WANT IN A DAILY DRIVER .

I AM HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL DESIGN OF THE ELIO .

IT IS SURE TO BE REFINED ONCE LARGE NUMBERS OF THEM ARE ON THE ROAD
AND CUSTOMER FEEDBACK STARTS TO WEED OUT SOME OF IT's SHORTCOMINGS .

FACE IT , NONE OF US HAS EVEN HAD THE CHANCE TO DRIVE ONE YET .
I AM SURE I WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE UP A LIST BY THE TIME I HAVE PUT 100,000 MILES ON THE CLOCK .
