Yeah, for the Jets at Bills game, I couldn't believe they were saying on Wed "oh sure, we'll still have the game on Sunday". They had put out the offer for $10/hr and 2 free tix, to anyone wanting to show up at the stadium and help move snow. Great idea, but trouble is, there was a driving ban, so no one can GET to the stadium. Lol, anyhoo, a good decision to move the game to Monday night. The Bills players may be able to get a practice in for the first time this week, when... Saturday?

Edit: just noticed that the game will be played in Detriot's dome on Monday night. So the Bills players hopefully are on their way to Detroit sometime soon.

Oh, my Chiefs, ugh. If you are a fan of the NFL, you get that most good teams will lose a game (or two) that they shouldn't. Chiefs have lost to Titans and Raiders. Broncos have lost to Rams. Cardinals have not lost to anyone they should have beaten, they are the exception this season. Green Bay lost to New Orleans. The list goes on. One could make an argument for the Patriots, their 2 losses are to two good teams, KC and Miami.

The Raiders just plain controlled the line of scrimmage last night. They were able to run the ball on offense, and were able to get pressure on the QB on defense. And that 4th qtr drive they made, very nicely done.

In the NFL, any intra-division game, where the home team is an underdog... there's always a chance of an upset. For this weekend, Packers at Vikings... possible upset, Vikings could pull it out. Cowboys at Giants... Giants could win, absolutely.

The experts have been saying it this season more than ever before: there is no way to figure out the NFL. ;) In the ESPN power poll, the Chiefs went up 5 spots from #10 to #5 last week. After losing to the winless Raiders, the Chiefs may go down 4-5 spots next week.

All teams lose one or two... I know just how you feel. I mean Atlanta lost one - Cinicinati... and then Minnesota so I know exactly... wait, and then they lost to New York Giants and Chicago so it was rough there for a ... hold on, then Baltimore and Detroit.... Screw it. Wait, Browns? Oh, I'm getting ahead of myself. We may not actually lose that one. Luckily though, between the Browns and the Cardinals, we have an easy two weeks ahead of us? What? You say the Browns are in an effective 4 way tie for first in their division? Well, at least the Cardinals aren't very good... Crap, they have the best record in the NFL, don't they. Crap, crap, crap.

Texans creamed Browns and now 5-5 with a new QB Ryan Mallett (former Brady backup). Interesting game with Bengals Sunday. Anyone interested here is great link with numerous forums including NFL, non sports and controversial things like politics. I've been member there for years and am an NFL draft nut. I do players evals and mock drafts. texanstalk.com not a blog but MB with great members.

naturally with me picking the Cowboys, the Giants have jumped out to a 14 - 3 lead .... #13 Beckham for the Giants just made the best one handed catch in the end zone that I've ever seen .... if you didn't see it, you will on highlight reels for a long time to come

Great football weekend. My Cowboys pulled off a nice win. My Sooners had a nice win and their RB broke the NCAA single game record with 427 yards rushing. And I won in both of my Fantasy Football leagues.

And icing on the cake is my Stars won back to back games for the first time in a while (NHL).

Life was good this weekend!
