none of the pregame panel of "experts" picked the skins, I guess its still necessary to play the game to find out who will win ..:).. it was nice to see Colt have a good game, I suspect his stock went up last night

Hey Jeff, where are you? I liked your previous posts, better then reading Fox Sports! Sorry if I put too much pressure on you, I know we all have lives other than Elio.........

Had my first vacation in over a year this past week, went to San Diego to be in the hospital when a granddaughter was born. When in the plane in Denver on Fri night, flight attendant thanked San Diego fans for the Broncos win. :-)

Glad you like the posts Mr. Lock! I do enjoy the NFL. After I get caught up on my work tasks, I'll post some NFL thoughts.

Alright, let's take a look at week 8, BARELY before week 9 begins...

Giants and 49ers on a bye. Broncos handle the Chargers... even though it was 14-7 Broncos at the half, once the Chargers got the ball to start the 3rd qtr and couldn't score, you kinda knew it was over. Rivers has an excellent record in Denver, I believe he's now 6-3. How did the Lions beat the Falcons when it was 21-0 at half? Wow and yikes. Sorry Ty.

Rams score to go up 7-0, Chiefs score the next 34. It was a very gradual blowout. Houston reaches .500 after beating the Titans who played yet another QB, Zach Mettenbergerereererrrereerer. Vikes beat the Bucs in OT, in the "who cares" game of the day. Seahawks find a way to get their only TD in the 4th qtr to take the lead and squeak by the Panthers. Cincy gets a QB sneak and sneaks past a good Ravens team. Dolphins beat the Jags as expected. Patriots score 31 in the 2nd qtr... 31... and kill the Bears. Bills outscore the Jets 19-6 in the 2nd half to win by 20. Cardinals win a hard-fought game against the Eagles, Cards are now 6-1 and leading the NFC East.

Cleveland moves to 4-3 by beating the Raiders (everybody beats the Raiders). Pittsburgh scores 28 in the 2nd qtr on Indy, but it was still a game in the 3rd qtr. Colts offense put up a ton of pts too, but lose by 17. Excellent Sunday Night game, Packers and Saints tied at 16 at half. Rodgers tweaked a hamstring on a scramble, and that was the end of the GB offense. The Saints "marched on", and smoked the Pack by 21. We'll see how Rodgers hammy is in 2 weeks after GB's bye week, but those darn hamstrings can linger. Monday night had an excellent game too, I didn't get to see it, the Redskins somehow go into Big D and beat Dallas in OT. Romo's back got hurt, he "may" be able to shoot up and play this weekend, unknown though.

More later!

As a former Denverite, all I can say is "GO BRONCOS"

As a Falcons fan all I can say is "Thank goodness we have a bye this week. 5 in a row is enough losses." The horrible thing is that we are currently only one game out of first place in our division. LOL. How does that happen? My wife is a Saints/Cowboys fan. Don't ask how THAT happens. She IS from Shreveport, LA so there's that. So tonight... I'll pull for the Saints and then hope some miracle happens and the Falcons remember how to play football.

This year, I have to hang my hat on the Georgia Bulldogs, I guess. SEC championship, here we come!
