REPORT Q & A as requested, is't an observation about hours- I got there @830 easy , slide into parking space no prob, buy ticket no prob,
find EM booth no Prob. Sit in the E no problem (did sit it in again since no one online!!)
When I left-1030, the ticket line had a wait, to get into the parking lot was a line out to the Main Blvd!!
Here I go, tried my best all the and & were initially given by Ray, and a little latter my Jerome
1. One of my major concerns, YELLOW, right now get white and wrap it,he elio 2.jpg IMG_0232_2.jpg elio.JPG thinks in a year the apple green might be replaced w/YELLOW!!!
2.Hoping to have the stores in place for test drive.
3. Can watch YOUR car being built (this I find hard to believe, that ta a certain date, with weeks of notice it can be so accurately timed (but that's just me)
4. The Horseshoe Casino wants to provide a 2-3 day comp with a fly-in drive home
5. Tis might be new news, on May 5th EM is meeting w/ IIHS Insurance Co's want to see/drive to help them establish rates.
6.W/ the sunroof option, there will be enough room for a luggage rack
6.The full moonroof will "probably" have transition glass
7. "Down the road" a vendor for a trailer hitch, but keep in mind this will void factory warrantee.
8,There will be NO ooptions for the dash!!
9. The seatbelt will attach on the "passenger side" and click-in on the "driver side"
10.the are vendors waiting to offer a towing "thing" (iI have not a clue), but to attach to a RUV
11HORSEPOWER as posted and confirmed 60
12. The steering wheel will be a modified Chevy
13 Seat by Lear
14The engine will have a steel liner flame sprayed by FSI (here too not sure what this means)
15.The required valve train servicing/frequency as per a standard auto
16. they have not started building the first engines (25 I think) to place in frame for crash testing
17. new frame hasn't been built yet
18 tilt steering standard.

Under dreaming- turbo, E V

Hope that does it, I know some of this stuff is not news, they were asked but asked. Did my best!

Excellent. I really like the 'see your car being build' news. This is the main reason that I went all-in. The plant visit. Watching MY car is a super bonus!

THANKS for the update :

1. One of my major concerns, YELLOW, right now get white and wrap it thinks in a year the apple green might be replaced w/YELLOW!!!

#1 makes me wish I had waited to make a second year reservation

3. Can watch YOUR car being built (this I find hard to believe, that ta a certain date, with weeks of notice it can be so accurately timed (but that's just me)

#3 I can see that while all construction is going on at the factory, once the options start being added at the various centers, that might prove to be a challenge

4. The Horseshoe Casino wants to provide a 2-3 day comp with a fly-in drive home

#4 I find to be very interesting and will look into it

5. This might be new news, on May 5th EM is meeting w/ IIHS Insurance Co's want to see/drive to help them establish rates.

#5 looking forward to the numbers they come up with

8,There will be NO ooptions for the dash!!

#8 no surprise, its a matter of pride with Paul and he will not budge

10.the are vendors waiting to offer a towing "thing" (iI have not a clue), but to attach to a RUV

#10 good to hear, I've talked with several folks who are interested in towing one behind their motor homes

11HORSEPOWER as posted and confirmed 60

#11 all I can say is interesting .... very interesting

18 tilt steering standard.

#18 good to hear

# 3 will be easy. If you are picking up at the factory, your car will leave the Shreveport Assembly line and then go to the Shreveport Marshaling center which, most likely, will be another part of the same building. You'll be able to follow your car over there and watch your Elio options be installed.

#3 - should actually be quite easy. Of course, Elio will know which car they are building and when THAT car will start it's journey. At GM, there were several days where I would follow a set of trucks down the line... Well, partially down the line. They weren't paying me to be a tourist. For your Elio, they'll probably let you start somewhere in the middle of the line... probably about where the frame meets the body that had already been painted by that time. You don't want to have to sit around watching paint dry. Anyway, everything up to that point looks about the same anyway. Once YOUR doors and YOUR fenders are installed, it'll look like your car. I can't wait. It's been a few years since I've been in that building and I can't wait to see how they set things up!

Corvette has a whole process where you watch your car being built and then it's put over in the Corvette museum and is roped off like a display till you go over there and drive it home. (I hear those are a little more expensive than the Elios will be)

You'd be a great tour guide Ty, would love to have you pointing and explaining things to us in the plant as we watched the line workers do their stuff.

10-4 .... the quip about waiting for a second year model was directed toward the possibility of getting one in yellow ... :)

Well here I am at Barrett Jackson West Palm Beach at 7:21 in the evening. One of the few booths that are closed is the Elio Motors booth. It is very disappointing to come out here to see and sit in the car and find that the representatives must have something better to do. How can they make the car if they can't even man a booth
