I can't find the spec. on the bore/stroke of the engine. A long stroke engine will develope the "torgue" at a lower rpm. Long stroke engines also LOVE a turbo set up. All the diesel engines I know of are LONG STROKES.
I'm thinking torque (Max) around 4500 rpm. Maybe starting at 2800 rpm. Redlined at 6500rpm.
Close to what the G1 Insight is.

My opinion

Lot of things go into where HP and Torque are produced and where they peak and fall off. Cams play a big roll in that . Exhaust does also.
By adding disk in my exhaust I can raise top end HP/speed but lose low end torque. If I remove disk the lowend Torque goes up Bike launches much fast pulls better but falls off on the top end. Fun to play with

5hp is about a 9% increase over target. I'm sure somebody will be negative about it.
It would be nice to know once they do release the facts what the extra HP may cost in mileage . The engine is a small one and will need torque to get the ELIO moving did the extra 5 HP come at the expense of needed torque . We are a long way from knowing what the true over all performance of the engine will be.
In the end if they hit the road in any real numbers the aftermarket people will be all over it , there will be tuners and bolt on parts to jack it very quickly.
2015 HD released the Wet head touring engine. With in 24 hours Fuel Moto had one on a dyno with a power vision switched over to a can bus and they were writing new software for the tuners for it. They had it ready to ship in week. If there is money to be made increasing the power someone will do it.

Some post on the engine said it would have a longer stroke than bore intentionally to have low end torque, and that highway cruising would be somewhere around 2200 rpm. But memory loses details, and I don't remember the source, so take it with a grain of salt.
