In Columbus I mentioned the $700 figure, he asked where I heard that, I told him that's what's going around and he said it would not be that high. He said "I think It will be around $400+"

With that logic, why not take the 3, buy a plane ticket, go get it, and use the other 4 you saved for the radio, and gas to get home. Win Win.

I hope you're right. I only live about 200 miles from Shreveport so hopefully I will be able to pickup at the factory with the destination charge waived. Being retired and on a fixed income every penny counts. I personally think it would be advantageous to have a Elio store setup at the factory.

Elio Motors recently revealed a 'plan' to have 7 'regional hubs' where OPTIONS will be installed 'overnight'...... then shipped to the Elio Stores.... the next day! One of these 'HUBS' could be at the Shreveport factory (seems logical).

Wow, I really like the ideas being generated here. I sure hope the folks at EM are taking notes. This is a pretty fair dipstick in your market, guys . . . OK, some of the ideas are screwy, some half-baked, but even though most are good, ALL can be helpful in developing your market.

Here's some food for thought.
If I want say, leather seats after I pick up my Elio at the factory. Is there a trade in value for the cloth seats I just paid for in my new Elio? If not, how would I get the extra pair of seats I already paid for, home from the "HUB", after the installation of my new leather seats? Since they won't fit in the trunk, it would seem to me these "HUBS" would have an abundance of new cloth seats laying around to sell back to Elio to put back in someone else's new Elio. Things that make ya go hummmm??

At Fair Park in Dallas Jerome was pretty adamant the charge would be $750.00. Don't ever forget Jerome was a car salesman for years so the story might change with each customer! He knows all the tricks of the trade. If you can't blind them with brilliance, dazzle them with bullshit.

Do you think they will have a staging area to put on you accessories at the plant in Shreveport?
Because the option to pic up you car there, for me, depends on wheather I can get it with all the goodies on it.

Not to disagree with you but to maintain fact Elio has also not Officially stated a destination charge of $750 nor that number. They have also not Officially stated that there Will with certain be a dealer prep charge. They Do however note that the Actual pre-order price is Actually $6,300 for early adopters with the bonus deposit match. Just clarifying what was said from what is assumed for the record. For me, if they hit all of there initial promises (mileage, cost, safety) by 10% plus minus I will be a Very happy owner. This will be a great (revolutionary even) step for American transportation and another Positive step forward for Manufacturing in the USA!
