I've always thought Elio was unlikely to succeed, so I'll be happy to ever get one, even if it's in 2020.

Welcome to the Elio Owners Forum; the place that's you'll find out everything you wanted to know about the Elio Owners.

And as Gas-Powered stated, where did you hear 2018?
As it stands, production for the reservation holders will start in 2017.
Currently the 25 E series Elio's are being built and going into testing; they there are 100 Fleet Elio's that will be built in Shreveport, LA in December of 2016.

My take is sometime in 2017, my guess is in April or May, Elio will start producing vehicles for reservation holders. So if you haven't yet made a reservation late 2017 is the earliest you get one, 2018 is probably more likely. I hope to have mine by summer 2017.

Aahz, welcome to the forum whose many members have waited years for the production of the Elio. Latest projections are for early 2017. I have been waiting since 2103 so there is no guarantee next year will finally get me my Elio. All it takes to secure your place in line (SOL) is $1000 and a lot of patience. Welcome to the forum and to the journey.

I am thinking, pretty soon after the factory is running making the 100 vehicles. Otherwise they will have to lay off the line workers something Cato Parish would frown on.
