I believe the government will look highly on the success of crowd funding when making their decision on their government loan.

The largest and possibly the first to make it through the SEC review, I don't know if they were the first to apply.

I believe that Elio Motors opened their "Testing the Waters" phase on the first day that it was legal to do so. I'm not sure if they were the first to apply or get approved, though.

I'm pretty sure they were one of the first 3 to post campaigns, and the only wildly successful one. I don't know if they're the first to have the solicitation approved, but I think so. Certainly, to date it's nothing short of a triumph. SE is thrilled, not only because the campaign is going to drop between a quarter and a half a million into their hands in fees, but because the proof of concept and resulting publicity in financial circles are more than they could have dreamed of so early in their crowdfunding venture.

I figured they wouldn't start processing the transactions until the 7-day window is over, since you can still cancel your share purchase until then. Maybe they saw there were nearly zero cancellations and already reached the $12 million minimum!
