Congrats to the Packers, it was definitely boys against men on MNF. After it was 14-0 GB, I felt the game was over. Chiefs had a nice never-give-up attitude, but GB coasted in the 2nd half and won easily. Aaron Rodgers is amazing.

I didn't get to watch any football on Sunday, except for a sliver of the Broncos/Lions game on Sun night. Helped my son move apartments in Denver area.

Other games:
  • Atl 39, Dal 28 - Falcons must have made some nice adjustments at halftime, they outscored Dal in 2nd half 22-0. With Dez and Romo out, it wasn't the Cowboys offense that cost them this game, though Dal lost turnover battle 1-0. Dallas was bad on 3rd down, 1-6, but they only punted 4 times. Atl was REALLY good on 3rd down, 9-14.
  • Ind 35, Ten 33 - Another comeback win by a road team! The QBs, Luck and Mariota, had nearly the same stats: 2 TD, 2 INTs, sacked 3 times, similar QB ratings. Luck threw for fewer yds but also threw 14 fewer pass attempts. Gore had a good day running the ball, 86 yds and 2 TDs. Ten did have a great drive at the end of the game to get a TD, but the 2-point conversion failed.
  • Oak 27, Cle 20 - Yet another road team wins. McCown wasn't horrible, did get sacked 5 times. Cle lost in turnovers 2-1. Carr at QB had an excellent game for the Raiduhs, 2 TDs, no turnovers.
  • Cin 28, Bal 24 - Our fourth road team wins again. It was an exciting 4th qtr, score was 14-7 Bengals and both teams scored often after that. Dalton and Flacco both had good games, but Dalton was just a bit better. Balt only rushed for 36 yds, you won't win many games like that. Cincy lost in turnovers 2-1, but was able to get a tough division road win.
  • Jax 17, NE 51 - Not much to say here. Patriots won every qtr by at least 7 pts. Brady, Blount, Gronk.
  • NO 22, Car 27 - The other McCown, Josh, got a start here with Brees being injured. He threw for a ton of yds, 31-38 for 310, but no TDs and 1 INT. But Cam threw for more yds, 2 TDs, and no picks. NO lost in turnovers 2-0.
  • Phi 24, NYJ 17 - Experts didn't see this coming, the Philly's offense being left for dead. Bradford's numbers were horrible, 14 completions for 118 yds. But he was only sacked one time, and the Eagles were able to run the ball. Jets QB Fitzpatrick had a Fitzpatrick-like day, 2 TDs and 3 INTs. You won't win much if he throws the ball 58 times in a game.
  • TB 9, Hou 19 - Not an exciting game if you like offense. Turnovers even at 1-1, but Hou won in first downs 30-14. Yikes. RB Blue had 139 yds rushing, good for him. TB gave up no sacks, which is well done, but they just couldn't move the ball.
  • SD 14, Min 31 - Rivers threw an INT in a game for the 9th straight time. He's a veteran, needs to not do that. It was 24-7 at the end of the 3rd. SD lost in turnovers 2-1. Adrian Peterson ran the ball well for 120 yds.
  • Pitt 12, StL 6 - Rams sacked the Pitt QBs 5 times, but just couldn't generate any offense. Turnovers were even but StL was bad on 3rd down, 2-10. Rothlesberger had an efficient game but threw 1 INT and no TDs before he left with an injury, thus the low score. Both teams got 1 field goal in the entire 2nd half.
  • SF 7, AZ 47 - Not much to see here folks, move along. *pause for effect* Kaepernick completed 9 passes to his own team and 4 to the Cardinals. Oops. Both teams ran the ball well but the turnovers were lost by SF 4-1. Pretty sure an NFL team loses about 75% of the time when you have 3 or more turnovers. Cards first 2 TDs were INT returns.
  • Buf 41, Mia 14 - Holy cow, another road division win. And a whoopin'. This was never a game, Buf led 27-0 at half. For QB play, Taylor played VERY well, Tannehill not-so-much. Bills had a great balance of running and passing. Mia lost in turnovers 3-0.
  • Chi 0, Sea 26 - Ya had to feel for the Bears, a not good team playing at Seattle's first home game. Not good. As I look down the play-by-play, how many times did Chi cross the 50 yd line? Once. No turnovers for either team, but Chi had 7 first downs. Sea had a kickoff return for a TD.
  • Den 24, Det 12 - Manning once again does enough for his team to win. The guy is old but he's still very good. Neither team could run the ball. Stafford continues to under-perform.
