Wheel Fenders, Fairings, Skirts, Covers

I noticed that there are black wheel covers on all color cars is that just because they are prototype or are they going to remain black? I think they should be the color of the rest of the car. More uniform looking.

I asked during my visit, and they said you could get them in the car's color as well or paint them yourself however you wanted.

In my day they were cool. We called them fender skirts.

Still cool and Elio mpg functional. Fender skirts did match the body color. I like the idea of installing Elio's 'fender skirts' for road trips or highway commutes and removing them for in town use.
