I also plan on flying down to Shreveport and picking up my Elio and drive it home to Ohio. Contemplating driving over to Atlanta to let some of my friends on this website take it for a spin. Then making a few other stops on the way north to allow other Elio owners the chance to drive an Elio before their's has been built. Can't wait to set my schedule for the return trip.
My suggestions, to all who will pick up their Elio at the plant, is to stop along the way home and share the excitement with other Elio reservationists.

I'm hoping the author of this article didn't get his info from Elio. I don't think I have " a couple more years to wait" for my Elio.

I am thinking I would also fly out to see the plant and pick up my Hot Red in person. Would be a blast driving back to Central Florida. Hope that is an option.

When I get 3 more SIL (reservation) numbers I will be posting an updated Reported Numbers.xls spreadsheet. It will have 1500 numbers, names and state locations. Should be able to find those three more numbers this weekend. The second sheet will be sorted by state.
And in my case driving my Hot Red Elio back to New Mexico
