Welcome to Elio Owners! Join today, registration is easy!
You can register using your Google, Facebook, or Twitter account, just click here.By that time they will have a partial dealer network built I imagine. They will have to supply all those dealers with at least 10 cars initially. Supplying Elio store locations is going to eat a lot of initial demand.
The first thing people will want to do is test drive one. I could see every dealer having 5-6 cars out on test drives at any given time easily.
Salesmen always tell you what you want to hear to keep you interested..In a report from a guy who talked to Paul Elio at the AZ reveal: The Dealership will have one vehicle inside and two to test drive automatic and manual. Then this guy said that Paul said. "Order it one day and get it the next day" Now that would be a trick! Not sure I believe that is possible.
Ray, that info of course is second hand so it should always be taken with a grain of salt.Salesmen always tell you what you want to hear to keep you interested..
Definitely. They will need cars on hand to sell, that's how many sales happen. And initially more to test drive, especially larger markets. Can you imagine how busy they'll be on Saturdays?!Ray, that info of course is second hand so it should always be take with a grain of salt.
But if accurate and Paul did say that. I believe he is more Engineer than Salesman.
Sorry brainmatter. I think I confused the issue. According to the interviewer, Paul said they would be a "have it your way" type operation. Only 3 Elios on hand at the showroom. You place your order and come pick it up the next day. I'm with you that that sounds like a tall order to pull off on so many levels.Definitely. No, you are correct. He did say that but I believe it is one of those things they will be able (need) to tweak. Jmho.Sorry brainmatter. I think I confused the issue. I'm not certain, but I believe that you will receive another communication that will provide a different number. If the production sequence number were actually the last 4 of the invoice/order number there would have been ~6,000 additional production numbers issued between the time that you went all and the time that I did a 9 days ago. I believe that to be unlikely. Perhaps ~6,000 of all types, not just the $1,000 all in category. My number is 2854 and I went all in on 17Jan14. I guess that's my number off of my invoice/confirmation.
I'm about 9hrs from the plant being on the East side of Nashville. I see a plant tour and a nice drive home.
