My 1K ELIO all-in was honored by Electra Meccanica as a 1K discount towards SOLO 3 (latest and final production version)purchase which is due for release late this year. Their China assembly line is ready to produce and even have display stores set up in Los Angeles and Canada- the same goals that Elio Motors failed to achieve. While waiting, I'm just enjoying their stocks hovering at $4-5.
Good to see you will be getting your Solo in 2020. Now we wait on the real world driving experience being reported here.

SOLO is electric so it's good for less than 100 miles ROUND TRIP. Definitely not for everybody but with less maintenance, those that have disposable income will wanna have one just because it's different! Performance? What do you wanna expect on 3 wheels???

With 100 mile range, its hard to put lots of miles on it. So it'll be reliable. As for performance, let us know how it compares to when you drove the three wheelers that have been in production for a while (Vanderhall and Slingshot). We must not forget those three wheelers. Being a three wheeler fan, you must go out and drive anyone you can just to get the experience. I've driven the Vanderhall and Slingshot (just went to a local dealer and drove one). Never drove a Morgan though.

I'm sure they're fun but my Wile E Cayote beep, beep days are behind me. The SOLO ev with it's modest power and range is perfect for my needs.

I'm number 556 so it really depends on how many EMV can deliver before year's end.
I see that in 2019 the lost $30M and have accumulated deficit of $62M. To get through 2020 they will need another $25M. Plus, they delivered 8 Solos in 2018 and 21 in 2019 for a total of 29. So I wonder how many they will deliver in 2020. They do have 64 pre production Solos that were built in Canada and 50 pre production ones from China on hand.

This seemed a bit odd to me:
We do not currently have all arrangements in place that are required to allow us to fully execute our business plan.

To sell our vehicles as envisioned, we will need to enter into certain additional agreements and arrangements that are not currently in place. These include entering into agreements with distributors, arranging for the transportation of the mass-produced SOLOs to be delivered pursuant to our manufacturing agreement with Zongshen, obtaining battery and other essential supplies in the quantities that we require. If we are unable to enter into such agreements, or are only able to do so on terms that are unfavorable to us, we may not be able to fully carry out our business plans.

Hopefully they can get their manufacturing and supply issues solved and somehow generate $25M to keep going. Plus, they need to get those customer deliveries going. Seems these companies (FUV and SOLO) were all celebrating their customer deliveries but the numbers seem to be really small. FUV was at 73 and SOLO at 29. With 2020 being the way it is, both companies will have a rough go of it for a while.

On a side note, anyone interested in the Super Solo? That thing might be the performance three wheeler people are looking for.

Nothing wrong with downplaying their imminent production SOLO 3 release. Their 3 wheeler is complete, assembly line is in place, stores are open and big name Zongshen as their backbone and the Chinese are not known for messing around. In comparison, ELIO never came close to this stage in the game which is too bad because I needed the ELIO with it's mystery 3cyl. gas engine when I was still working...but I can't dwell in the past. Now that I'm retired and not driving as much, all-electric SOLO 3 will be my full time leisure ride.
